Using remote debugging, I can attach to a windows service and run it in
debug mode in VS.Net 2003.
The problem is this service uses two supporting dlls. On the remote
service, the dlls have been registered in the GAC. They are also in the
service's directory, along with their associated *.dbg symbols. Yet, any
breakpoint in the dlls is not hit.
The dlls are part of the project file, and breakpoints in them can be hit
when I debug...

I have a service that was developed in C# that I wish to debug. The
project resides on my desktop system and I wish it to execute on a
remote test system (actually on the next desk).
When I confifure the project for remote debugging of the project I get
the following alert: "Error while trying to run project: Unable to start
debugging. Access is denied."
This worked fine in the past when the test machine was Windows 2000, but
now that...

Hello,
We use the Debug View from sysinternals for BizTalk development and testing.
The remote feature is very useful since you can login to any server and see
the debugging statements. Unfortunately this requires administrative
rights.
Its the stated policy of my client not to allow admin rights, and because of
this we cant use the debug view for the testers. It is slowing them down.

VS.net
Win 2k3
I'm getting the following error when attempting to debug. I'm not
debugging remotely, just a local project.
"Unable to start debugging. Cannot find port. Check the remote machine
name."
Any insight is appreciated.

I have a web service that want to print something to a printer
connected on another computer in the network. And that printer happens
to be a non-plug and play printer (It's a thermal printer).
I tried to install the printer to the server directly and it works
fine (I use PrinterSettings.PrinterName to set the printer). But when
I set it up on another computer it doesn't work. I have installed the
networked printer's driver to the server...

Hi everyone,
I installed the .NET Framework 2.0 beta 2 on a dev server to test some new
things in Web Developper Expres, but now when I try to remotely debug my 1.1
projects, I get the error message "Unable to start debugging on the web
server. Would you like to disable future attempts to debug ASP.NET pages
for this project?". Checked the usual suspects, like URLScan and the
Debugging Users group, but nothing has changed. Anyone know...

When i debug a trigger is it possible to add a WATCH
on the INSERTED or DELETED?
I think not, at least I couldn't figure out a way to do so.
Does someone have a suggestion on how I can see the values?
I did try to do something like
INSERT INTO TABLE1(NAME)
SELECT NAME FROM INSERTED

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
