Hi, all
I wonder is that any way to estimate the build time from VS.net(C++ project).
We have a lot of projects(40) under one single solution. We use the
command line (devenv.exe Solution\mysol.sln /build /Release) to build
the solution,
Is that any information I can get the estimation time that will take
to build the whole solution? Instead of just waiting...

I use VSS for visual studio .net 2003 development. However I recently
installed the Clearcase client for use with Rational App Developer 6. When I
did that, Clearcase unexp;ectledly took over all source control operations
within VS.NET. How do I tell VS.NET not to use Clearcase, but to go back to
using VSS instead?

I'm helping a friend set up his dev environment. In trying to add an asp.net
project to his solution we are stuck. The web's virtual directory (a
ClearCase share) is defined and viewable from IIS. When we attempt to "load
an existing web project" from //localhost/<ourdir> we can browse to the
directory but no .csproj file is displayed. We have directory browsing
turned on. We are using UNC named shares, not FP extensions. Out of ideas!...

Hi,
I have a weired problem recently. I uses Windows 2003 Server and ClearCase
as source control. When I checked out a file from ClearCase, VS 2003 still
see it as ReadOnly. When trying to save the modified file, I got "Access is
denied" error. I don't have this problem with VS 6.0 on the same machine.
Anyone has an idea>

I am using Windows ClearCase Explorer. I do some scripting process to create a new view in ClearCase. But it cannot be displayed in the current screen. We need to press Alt + F5 after running my script to get the new view's shortcut in my active windows. The same command also available in this screen in View menu. (View -> Refresh View Shortcuts). Is there any alternative methods to execute this command using Perl Scripting...?
