Format Units on ReportViewer chart axis

Hi there, I have an asp.net 2 application, and created a local report
using MS ReportViewer. The report consists of a line chart, with date
intervals on the x axis, and amounts of money in the y axis.

It all works fine, but the amounts of money are high (in millions),
and so the y axis shows increments of 10000000 and has amounts showing
on the grid lines of 10000000, 20000000, 30000000, 40000000 etc.

I would like to format these to a currency amount, or at least have
some commas to make it more readable, but if I try using eg
=FormatCurrency (Fields!MyAmoun t.Value) the chart is not output
correctly.

Can anyone suggest any way to solve this? Hope this post makes sense.

Hi Andy,
I used Reporting Services only once and I have never used charts. But
tables allow to set up Format property for each column. I used it with Data
Time objects and it worked fine. You can set up this format in .net manner.
Just be sure your data are returning from query in correct type - currency =
Money in sql server otherwise formating will not occure (at least this
happend with datetime).

Regards,
Ladislav

Hi, I am using Access 2002 and am creating a scatter-chart on a form in which the X-axis is a date. I can format and display the x-axis properly as a date. However, when I close and reopen Access, the data are incorrectly plotted with an x-axis that begins with a date of 1900. Only by toggling from the option "chart by column" to "chart by row" and then back to "chart by column", can I get the correct date on the x-axis. The problem...

Hello: I am trying to use Crystal Reports from VS.NET 2003 to produce a simple line chart, where the x axis represents the number of measurements taken and the y axis represents the range of measurement values. There are two sets of points or measurements, so I would like a line on the chart for each set of values (two lines). I can produce the line chart on a VB.NET form correctly using an Infragistics UltraChart obeject. The data...

I have a program that works using ReportViewer in a Local Mode and it displays a single chart that uses data from several input files - one at a time. The chart has fixed title, and x-axis and y-axis labels. How can I programmatically change these fields based upon the type of data? Code is in VB.

I am charting data from a query that consists of a Date/Time field and a Number field. The Date/Time field is the x scale on my chart. Sometimes data is collected from different times during the one day. I need to be able to see these times as different time points on the x scale of my chart. To accomplish this I am using the following statement as the row source for my chart: "SELECT (Format(,"DDDDD HAMPM")),Max() AS FROM GROUP BY...

This c# program allows you to select multiple items from a listbox. For each selected item, a worksheet is created in the workbook with some information. Right now I create a chart that plots some information from one of the sheets. What I want to do is have a line on the graph for every sheet. I assume I use multiple datasources to do this, but I don't know how to use the SeriesCollection class to accomplish this. Here's my code....

I have a table with amongst others 2 fields: DateIn and DateOut. The idea is to make a chart that shows the average number of days it takes for a request to be answered. I'm planning to make a linechart with on the x-axis the months (starting with the current month and ending 11 months later) and on the y-axis the average number of days (DateOut minus DateIn). So the chart will show the average number of days per month. How would I go...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
