I have an ASP.NET 2.0 page with two DropDownLists. I am using declarative
data binding wherever possible and trying to minimize the use of code. The
list of values in DropDownList DDL2 should be (filtered) dependent upon the
selection in DDL1. I think this inevitably needs some code, but I'd be happy
to be told otherwise!
I have some code to handle OnSelectedIndexChanged for DDL1 that sets the
FilterExpression associated with the...

Hello,
Does anyone have an idea on how I can filter the data in the gridview
control that was returned by an sql query?
I have a gridview that works fine when I populate it with data. Now I want
to look at that data and filter it based on what is in it.
I know that this could have been done with data sets and data views in
asp.net 1.1 but how is this done now in asp.net 2.0?

quick data entry web hooked to a SQL database.
I am using stored procedures to get and push data.
I am having a problem isolating individual fields in a FormView. I am
trying to manually add some values to a Dropdownlist in the EditMode of the
Formview.
I have a serious of dropdownlists in the formview that are populated from

I have a GridView with a couple of TemplateFields. When I click the update
link the Gridview returns to display mode with no errors but the data from
bound text fields or dropdown list isn't updated in the table. I'm stumped
and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks much.

I'm using SQLDataSource, which generates some kind of dataset, and then I
attach that datasource to various data display controls such as DataList and
repeater which loop through to the end of the data that was retrieved by the
query.
At times I may want the display control only to render some items in the set
of data returned by SqlDataSource. There would be several scenarios:
* render the second data item or third item in to the end...

Under asp.net 2, if I define SqlDatasource and bind it to a grid, is
selected data accessible in code? Eg. if I select s single row from
the grid, can I go to the base data from the SqlDatasource and get the
specific row? If yes, then point me to an example.
Also, I know that can selected grid row or I can select the single row
from the database.
Thanks

I have a page with a DetailsView control and a SQLDataSource control.
The SQLDataSource control is connected to an Access database.
Everything works fine. Now I want to change the back end database from
Access to SQL Server. So I go in to the SQLDataSource and modify it to
connect to the SQL Server database. No problem. However, the
DetailsView control does not seem to pick up the changes. When I click
on the little shortcut menu (not...

This is a my solution to getting an Output parameter from a SqlDataSource.
I have seen a few scant articles but none of them take it all the way to
a solution. Hopefully this will help some poor soul.
Situation: I want to do a lookup using a stored procedure for each
value in a Row within a GridView.
I use a lookup function in my code behind, evaluating the necessary
bound fields. The problem is the SqlDataSource representing...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
