Hi,
I've been given the job of "Ajaxifying " an existing application. If I
create a new test page in the application, Ajax works fine. However
when I add a scriptmanager and updatepanel to an existing page, it
doesn't work - the page just gets completely refreshed.
In each case, the Ajaxy parts of the .aspx file look identical, but
when I look at the HTML in the browser page, I find that in the
failing example, there is script at all for the scriptmanager.
Anyone suggest why this might be?

So what i can gather from your post is that you are not getting the partial
page updates with the UpdatePanel, correct?
Make sure you have EnablePartialRe ndering set to true, also i found if the
code behind method has the handles clause on it then the partial page
updates dont work - the whole page posts back,

Hello,
I have created some pages in the (old) Atlas pages and migrated to AJAX
version. After the update I noticed that any page containing ASP.NET
AJAX won't compile anymore. Even if the same tags and properties are
used in a page without a masterpage.
Does anyone shares this exprerience with me or does anyone knows an
answer?
For the time being, I copy-pased the headings in my masterpage to the
clield pages.

I have tied an AutoCompleteExtender to a textbox to indicate suggestions to

Hi!
I know this topic has been discussed a long way, but I haven't found any
apparent solution (maybe I shouldn't be looking for a one :)) I have a very
simple application with one page and with just ScriptManager object in it.
Every time I refresh the page the memory usage goes up. I have AJAX
extenstions 1.0 installed and IE7 on winxp. Is this IE or AJAX problem, and

I have a peculiar problem here that I did not have until I migrated from
ASP.NET 2.0 to 3.5.
I use a master page for my application. Because the master page uses update
panels I have the scriptmanager control on the master page. Any pages in the
app that uses the master page under 2.0 automatically used that script
manager if any AJAX controls were involved. Everything was well with the
world and we all sang ohmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Since ScriptManager need inside a server form, and web content page using
MasterPage can not have another server form, so ajax can not be enabled
(unless write own code) using ScriptManager?
