To use VS designer 2005 for reports (rdlc), it seems I must create the
report, then create a Data Source, then drag the Data Source fields onto the
report. Click f5, it runs great.
But, I want to set the report to the reportViewer in my code instead. In
Page_Load, I have:
DataSet ds = new DataSet();
DataTable myTable = new DataTable();
myTable.Columns.Add("x1", Type.GetType("System.String"));
myTable.Columns.Add("x2",...

I am currently using ASP.Net 2003 and will be upgrading to 2005
sometime in the near future. I have been having issues with using
Crystal Reports that were included with .Net to handle my reporting
needs. I was wondering if anybody has an opinion on how the new
reportViewer control works in comparison to Crystal. One of the main
problems I have been having with Crystal Reports is that they seem to
load very slow no matter how small the...

I am using SQL Server 2005 Local Reports for a web based project. The
problem is that the ASP.NET default Web Report Viewer does not have
print facility for Local Reports. When the report is rendered the
report viewer does not show a print button for the Local Reports
(.rdlc) like the Server Reports (.rdl).
The only solution is that I export the report in PDF or Excel (which is
available in default Report Viewer) and then print the...

Hi all,
I am sorry if I have posted this problem to irrelevant forum. I am working in C#, and I don't find any C# forum here. I hope someone here can help me to resolve my problem. Here is:
I am working by using VS2005 and dotNet Framework 2.0. I have an ASP Content page, with one ReportViewer, and 5 RDLC files. This page contains a dropdownlist with 5 items, which if someone choose any one of them, they will see the report on the bottom...

I'm using a ReportViewer in ASP.NET. From the development environment it
works fine. When published and I try to open the page with the ReportViewer I
get the error:
An internal error occurred on the report server. See the error log for more
details.
Do I have something configured wrong? I do not knw where to find the error
log to review it.

Hi,
We have to make a Windows Forms application, in VS.NET 2005 or preferably
2008, with local reports (*.rdlc, not *.rdl !!), which will be shown in a
Reportviewer in this application. So we won't install a Reporting Services
on our SQL Server.
The problem is: the source database is an SQL 2000. So the question is: will
it be possible to use an SQL 2000 as a datasource for our reports in VS.NET
2008? And if not with VS.NET 2008, will...

My requirement is to create multiple reports (.rdlc) and show them using single report viewer control.
A: User selects a report from drop down list.
B: Depending on report name a report has to be displayed in the report viewer.
I have handled same scenario in VS2008 as follows:
Step1) Created a Dataset
Step2) Created multiple TableAdapters in the DataSet (one for each report)
Step3) Selected Report-> DataSources. I get the DataSet...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
