Yes, that's possible. Have a look at e.g.
http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archi...25/423703.aspx which will
show you how to set up the database and change the connection of the
membership controls.

Hope this helps,

Roland

If they are correct a cookie is set with one variable like this: setcookie ("cookieUser", $user); then the browser is sent with header("Location: spelersPage.php"); to another page. Hello all, As a beginner I've been exeperiencing lots of errors while building my website, (I'm currently attempting to implement a member login/registration piece for my site using mySQL and PHP) I've read that PHP is secure in that it hides lots of code from hackers and people trying to snoop around on the web site running the PHP scripts - however, one thing I've noticed is that whenever I get a script error, (for example, failure...

This might not be the right group for this question, since its kind of a pure html question... Given the html construct: <form action='index.php?expand=0,10000' method='post'> Email: <input type='text' name='login' size='30'/> Password:<input type='password' name='login' size='30'/> </form>

I'm new to ASP.NET 2.0 (and relatively new to ASP.NET 1.0 too) I've heard that there is easy to use login control in ASP.NET 2.0. I can't find any walkthrough in the doc, any pointers?

I have a web application hosted by an ISP that has a login page called "default.aspx" - the user enters username and password which is then checked in an SQL Server database. Everything worked fine until I recently subscribed to a Personal SSL certificate for the web app.from my ISP - now, after entering username and password and clicking the "Login" button absolutely nothing happens - no error message shows. Can anybody advise on what I...

I have been having some fun learning and using the new Controls and methods in .Net 2.0 which will make my life in the future easier and faster. Specifically the new databinding practises and wizards. But, I have found that trying to do something "outside the norm" adds a rather large level of complexity and/or data replication. Background I have been commissioned to create a web-based application for a client. It has a formsaunthentication...

Hi all, I'm attempting to create a login/role system for an application i'm building. My idea is to store an instance of a 'webapp' object in global.asax. This object stores login (username, ID) and role information (user, admin etc) which is set on a successful login. Would it be ok to put this object in the global.asax file and initiate it on Session_start? I'm unsure of any potential security implications of doing this.

I'm having the worst time trying to login to myspace through code. Can someone tell me how to do this? Please try it yourself before replying, only because I have asked this a couple of times in the past in other places, and while the help was much appreciated, it seemed everyone just wanted to 'theoretically' explain how to do it, but when I tried to do it myself, I couldn't login. I want to simply pass the email address and password to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
