GridView Paging: Binding to Oracle Stored Procedure

Hello,

How do you turn on paging on a GridView? I am binding a stored procedure in
my code file using the following:

OracleDataReade r sdrSearch = cmdSearch.Execu teReader();
this.gvSearchLi st.DataSource = sdrSearch;
this.gvSearchLi st.DataBind();

On my GridView, I have AllowPaging="Tr ue". However, when I set
AllowPaging=Tru e, no records show up. When it is set to "False", then it
works. Also, occasionally, I will be calling large datasets.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks, sck10

I know how to make client side paging work in the gridiew control using a sqlDataSource (and it works great!). But how can I "code" this i.e. I want to use a dataset as the datasource of the gridview. I have a stored procedure that returns data based on what parameter is passed in to it from the page load event of an asp.net form and then I want to bind the gridview to this dataset. But how can I use client cide paging in this context? ...

I have a simple winform with a customers combobox, a "get orders" button and an orders grid. Due to other requirements, I have implemented the form to allow the user to select a customer from the combobox and click the "get orders" button to refresh the gridview with the selected customer's orders, via a GetDataByCustomerID stored procedure. The underlying Orders table includes, among others, three boolean columns and one particular...

ASP.NET 2.0, VS 2005 I have a gridview with paging enabled, bound to an objectdatasource. Both were dropped on to the page and configured via the wizards. Basically working as expected. The gridview's databind method is apparently called when the page is loaded as I have no code calling the databind method. How can I keep the gridview from databinding automatically and control it myself?

Hi all, I'm trying to develop an ASP.NET 2.0 website and am running into some real problems with what I thought would be a relatively simple thing to do. In a nutshell, I'm stuck on trying to display data in a "GridView" which is tied to an "ObjectDataSource". In turn, this ObjectDatasource gets it's data from a strongly-typed business object within my code.

I've been googling for some time, and could not find the solution to this problem. I am testing the paging feature of gridview. I have a very simple web form on which the user can select a few fields to be included in the table, which is to be bound to the gridview. The web form looks like so (Don't worry about the stupidity of this web form for now.):

The PagerSettings.Visible property is not being handled properly by the GridView control. The value assigned to this property is not applied until after a postback. Simplest test : .aspx containing a single gridview - enable paging and give enough data to page. add checkbox with auto postback enable add button with auto postback enable in the GridView1_PreRender method add the following : GridView1.HeaderRow.Enabled =

ooh boy, I hope I'm in the right place to ask this. I'm trying to do a class project that binds controls to data sources. I have a Drop-down List that I bound to the Author column of an SQL table Articles. I then have a GridView that is supposed to react to changes in the name selected in the DDL.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
