Hello!
How can I show data outside of data controls (gridview, listview
etc.). I want to build CSS menu with data from database table and that
is the reason why I need it outside of any data control. 3 1287

hi,
Whats wrong with using the repeater Control or datalist control...
both can be bind from database... and with little work you can make
exactly look like css menu
Thanks

Hello Masadur,
Off course there is nothing wrong with repeater or datalist or any
other control in asp.net. I was just
wondering how to show data outside of these controls since I have some
ideas that I would like to
implement in my site.
Besides menu, I would like also to have "dynamic title" on every page
which will be, off course, some
database field.
Regards.

<head runat="server">
<title runat=server><% # GetTitle() %></title>
</head>
and DataBind() somewhere in Page_Load?

What interface do I need to implement in order to get a component with a
public property to show up in the data binding drop down boxes at design
time in VS.net?
I've tried to look just about every where I can think and I can not find the
solution. The closest I can come is to implement IBindingList or
IListSource to expose a list for the DataSource property on controls. This
works great for controls like a list box but doesn't work...

All,
myself and another developer have been staring blankly at a screen for
the past 48 hours and are wondering just what stunningly obvious thing
we are missing.
We are trying to load up 2 or more user controls dynamically by adding
to a placeholder defined in page_load. I've included the sample code
for how we are accessing one. The user controls are not rocket science
- just a few text boxes with public accessor properties. We've...

Hi,
I've had the opportunity to witness an very strange thing during the
LoadPostData() of one of my forms.
The problem is that only some of the fields in the form are filled with
the PostBack data. Theese fields are the ones that are not linked to a
"RequiredFieldValidator".
All the fields are encapsulated within UserControl elements. I use this

Hello -
I'm using a Repeater control to render information in a very customized
grid-like table. The Repeater control is binded to a DataSet with several
records of information. Within the Repeater control, I've placed
DropDownLists and CheckBoxes.
When the user has updated the information, he/he clicks the submit button
which is outside the scope of the Repeater control.

Question
I'd like to know specifically how to select another window outside of
Access
(a web page) and paste cells from my database.
I've used a macro program to do this before. I've read that I need to
find
the calls in the User32 dll to focus on windows outside the Access

Hello,
I have an interesting problem.
I wish to show a set of controls on a form repeatedly. Sort of like an
ASP.Net repeated, but without any data binding (I want to be able to put in
the data myself.
Basically, I am making a website which takes an RSS feed, and shows a list
of posts in the feed. Like Google reader. I want to to use ASP.Net Ajax

Hi all,
I'm going to develop an ASP.net page (VB) that allows users to export data
into the zip file. Do you have any sample codes? Please give me the source
codes if you have.
One more question, if we let users export data into Excel file, what is the
good web control we can use ? Do we have to display data on the web page by
binding data with datagrid (or GridView) for this download ?

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
