Gridview formatting - 2nd post

This is my second post. Can anyone help?

I am using nested gridviews, and they are pulling the data correctly
but I am having difficulty formatting the results. I need to insert a
line break after the first gridview, and between one of the fields in
the second. This seems like a simple request, yet I am not finding
any info on how to do this.

Can it be done, and if not what other method would be better?

original post:
am new to 2.0 and am using nested gridviews. The first one contains
category information, the second is based on a query from a product
table. The data is pulling correctly, but the problem is formatting.
I need to display the data on separate lines and columns. I had it in
tables and aligned correctly, but now that I am nesting the gridviews
it is not allowing me to do this.

I would like to go to a new line after the category, and have the
detail display broken into two lines. It seems like a simple request,
but I am not able to find any documentation on this. If anyone has
suggestions, please help.

I have a gridview control. In this grid view there is a column for the price of an item. Some of the prices have a dollar sign in front of it and some dont. How do I get rid of the dollar sign if it is in front of the value? My guess would be to use a template column but I dont know how to go about this. Any ideas? Below is an example of what the data looks like raw from the database: $456.95 200.89

It is being stored in a decimal data type. Any ideas? <asp:boundfield headertext="Amount" datafield="amount" dataformatstring="{0:C}"/> TIA!

Hi, I have two questions about gridViews. 1. How can I intercept the row/column values at loading to change values? 2. After I update a row (using default update functionality), how can I re-format the updated row fields. I have looked at gridView.rowUpdated method, but cannot figure out how....

I have a GridView that is bound to a collection of DateTimes (i.e. - Collection<DateTime>). I have a BoundField in the GridView, and its DataField is set to the DateTime's Date property, and the DataFormatString is set to "{0:d}" in order to display the date in short date format (without the time). But the DataFormatString doesn't seem to have any effect. The DateTime gets displayed with the time. I have another GridView that is bound...

I have a gridview whose rowupdate, rowediting, rowcreated, rowcancelingedit commands are all written programmatically. Im trying to keep the columns in this grid view consistent by formatting the cells in the rowcreated event. My main problem is that the table cells are not picking up this formatting. THe worst is when i enter the edit mode and have null values in some of the editable cells. The text boxes that are autogenerated seem...

All, I would be very grateful for any help on this question. I have an application in asp.net 2.0 where I dynamically create a datatable and then bind that to a gridview. Unfortunately, the date column always shows the date and time while I just want the short date. I have tried applying a format string {0:d} but to no avail. I saw a lot of posts regarding the htmlencode property but I do not know how to turn that off for a...

Hi, Hi, I have an ASP.NET 2005 application (using VB) with a GridView control that needs to have the last 5 or 6 rows in Bold or maybe some other special formatting. Most of the rows show monthly info but the last few show other information. The gridview is bound to a stored procedure that returns data something like this: 'Jan 2007', 0 'Feb 2007', 8

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
