using integrated windows authentication across 2 domains

hi

does anybody know if it's possible to have a client belonging to their
domain authenticate against our server belonging to another domain? we want
to use something like integrated windows authentication to simplify the
login process for a particular company/domain. i imagine the IIS server
would have to know something about the client's server via a trust.

any suggestions appreciated.

I am trying to 'POST' values from a form in a ASP file that has anonymous access permissions. I can retrieve the form values when I redirect to this page from another page which has also has anonymous access permissions. However, if I change the page from which I'm redirecting to use NT authentication, then I cannot retrieve the values of the form fields using POST method. Specifically, if the following file (MyStart.asp) has anonymous

Howdy, I have a SQL server in a completely different forrest than the workstation I am running query analyzer on. However in query analyzer when I choose windows authentication I cannot manually specify "domain\username" as I could when mapping a file share across domains or forests. Is there any way around this without resorting to using SQL Server authentication? Thanks

In our application we have to authenticate users using Forms authentication, but using the username and password of the Windows 2000 Active Directories. That is, the user will enter his username and password in the WebForm and our code behind will have to authenticate the user. Futhermore the user can be from any domain in the network. Also, while authenticating the user, the user has to be displayed the list of domains available on the...

Hi there, I am having trouble getting an ASP.NET web application to connect to another computer and passing the proper credentials and I hope someone can help me. I have a stand-alone Windows 2003 Server, ServerA, running as a Web Server that uses ASP.NET. The default.aspx file tries to access a file in a share on another computer, ServerB. ServerA and ServerB are on the same domain and are both running Windows 2003 Server.

My web server is joined to a windows domain. This domain has trusts to many other different domains. Users access my web server from different domains which are the trusted domains. Is this possible to do without any other configuration? Will the web server know which domain to look for to authenticate? Any information on how to do this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Now I have a web application, a web service and a SQL Server database. The Web application will invoke the web service, the web service invokes the SQL Server stored procedure. I let the web service run in an application pool which runs under a domain user, this domain user has permissions of accessing database and the connection to database is trusted connection. All these work well. The web application will be used in internet (not...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
