I'm adding some extra features to an intranet-based ASP application...(IE6
clients)
As part of the process, I thought I would give the html a mid-life upgrade,
ie. remove much of the tag-soup, replace with CSS and validate.
I haven't got much time to spend perfecting it, but I thought with a little
bit of effort I could transform the app into something approximating a
professional application.
The app use 3 frame layout: header,...

I have a web site that, due to maintenance by several people, some of whom are
fairly clueless about HTML and CSS, etc. (notably me), has gotten to the point
where I'm pretty sure it's suffering from bit rot. Though the pages seem to
display okay under IE and FF, I really think it's time for an under-the-hood
cleaning. I recently received a copy of Molly Holzschlag's "Spring Into HTML
and CSS," and in the first chapter, she makes a big...

I have a table which is bound to an Internet Explorer XML
data island. I'm using ASP.NET's client-side validators
for an input field in the table. The problem is that if
the input fields are in a table that is bound to the
island (such that the rows are dynamically generated by IE
from the XML data island), the validators do not work. If
the table is not bound, the validators do work, but then I
don't have the table iterating through...

Hi,
I wrote a simple tool to validate XML files using XMLSchema (C program
+ libxml2 library).
It works when I'm connected to the internet (access to www.w3.org)
Is it possible to modify this tool and/or the XML files to validate off
line (see source code below) ?
Thanks in advance for your help,

I converted my VS2003 ASP.Net project to VS2005.
I use frame in VS2003 with no problem like the following:
<frame name="banner" scrolling="no" noresize target="contents"
src="SPTop.htm">
In VS2005 it gave me the error: Validation (Internet Explorer 6):
Attribute 'target' is not a valid attributeof element 'frame'
How can I fix this problem ?
Thank you.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
