Problem applying theme to page!

ASP.NET 2.0

I have problem with the markup and skin file below, this table isn't
displayed.

webpage
<asp:Table ID="compose" SkinID="compose " runat="server">
<asp:TableRow >
<asp:TableCel l SkinID="recipie nt">fffff</asp:TableCell>
</asp:TableRow>
</asp:Table>

..skin file
<asp:Table SkinID="compose " runat="server">
<asp:TableRow >
<asp:TableCel l SkinID="recipie nt" width="100px" />
</asp:TableRow>
</asp:Table>

This webpage is placed in a master page. This master page has this setting:
<%@ Master Language="C#" EnableTheming=" true" %>
I've tryed to use EnableTheming=" true" on the webpage too, but it didn't
have any effect

I've specified in Web.config what theme to use.
<pages theme="Standard " />

In VS2005, the word "recipient" in this markup <asp:TableCel l
SkinID="recipie nt">fffff</asp:TableCell>
is presented with a green underline. When I hover the mouse onto the word
"recipient" I see this message as tooltip:
"A SkinID has been specified but the page is not configured to use a page
theme or stylesheet theme. This is acceptable if the theme or stylesheet
theme will be set programmaticall y"

Any suggestions on why the table isn't displaying are most welcome!

cheers

Jeff

Can anyone get themes to work in asp.net 2.0? The page I have below always looks exactly the same whether I leave out the Theme directive, or whatever valid value I put for the Theme. If I put an invalid value (like XXX), then I get build errors. Any ideas?

Hi, I've a a site with nested master pages and content pages. I tried using a theme with a stylesheet in the app_themes directory referencing it in the web.config file from a pages tag theme attribute. This works for the content pages, but it doesn't seem able to apply the styles to the top master page even though I did set the master head tag to runat server. Is this by design? If so, what is the best way to apply styles to the top...

Hello all, I'm very new to all of this. I have a theme and a skin (the standard ones). I have a standard master page which is holding a custom ascx which has a treeview in it. Can someone please point me in the right direction to bind a theme to the treeview? The 'theme' tag is on the <%@ page %> directive... however neither my master page or ASCX files use this. They use <%Master%> and

I have a master page that has a table. The table represents a banner. I need to change background images for the cells depending on the page theme. I set up css and defined styles with background -image: url(...). I set up images in theme folder and it didn't work. Then I decided to move images to root and it didn't work either (the page in not in root. May be for root pages it would help but I can't put all pages in root anyway). Is...

I've created a theme Css for my Asp.net 2.0 web application. The web.config Pages Theme key is set to the theme name. Everything seams to work fine except for any page that I want to disable the master theme and apply another stylesheet.css. According to the documentation I've read. I should be able to disable the theme by setting the "enabletheming" attribute on the aspx Page to false. This doesn't seam to work. When I look at the...

Hello, I have tried to programmatically set the theme for my master page by putting code in a "Page_PreInit" fuction in the master page's code behind. However, when I set a breakpoint there and run the app, the breakpoint is never hit. Of course my theme is not being applied. The above procedure works fine for any content page, but obviously doesn't work for my master page. So, how does one properly and programmatically set a theme...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
