Class Library SqlClientPermis sion failed

I have a class library I built that does numerous functions that
everyone here uses. Everything works except for connection to the SQL
server and grabbing data. The code works if i put it straight into
the code-behind page of an aspx page. The dll is referenced in the
website and I get a Request for permission of
type ...SqlClientPer mission failed.

Any ideas?

Hi all, My apologies for posting this message into the wrong newsgroup. I'm reposting it here since it's more appropriate. I am attempting to export an unmanaged (__nogc) C++ class from a class library into an C++ application compiled using the CLR. Within the class library, I have declared the class as follows: __nogc class __declspec(dllexport) CMyClass

All, I am currently developing an FTP class in VB.NET. It's kid tested, mother approved when trying to access an FTP Server on a Windows box meaning I can connect, run commands, upload and download a file no problem. My issues come when I try to use the same class with the same commands to access an FTP server on a UNIX box. I can connect and login just fine, but after that all my commands come back "500 'PWD': command not understood."....

I have a Web Farm, that fetches its database-data from a separate database-server. Today I was forced to go over to .NET 2.0 (since 1.1 can't be installed on Windows Vista x64), and it brought about quite alot of problems. But now I've sorted out everything except one problem that I just can't get to disappear: As soon as I try to connect to a database from my code and run a query, I get an exception thrown: Check: Request for the...

Question about putting the data layer in a separate class library. I keep reading that the data layer should be separated from the presentation layer and put in its own class library. I am trying to do this but running into a problem. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I first create a class library (all code in C#) and within this class library create a very simple Sql Server Express database (.mdb) file. It's...

I've written a Windows application using VB and Visual Studio 2005. I've used the Data Application Block in the Microsoft Enterprise Library 2.0 to make all of my SQL calls. The application runs fine on my local machine but throws a CAS error on client machines that says: Request for the permission of type System.Data.SqlClient.SqlClientPermission

I have a vb.net app that runs as a console app. Wen I try to execute this exe from another (vb6) exe, I get a SqlClientPermission exception. I've been reading about .net security (something I am aware of but know nothing about) and am getting totally lost. Is there a simple way around this, or am I destined to learn all about .net security? FWIW, the vb6 app reside on a network drive.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
