SessionState and Window.Location .Href

Hi.

I have built a site with tabs-based navigation as a pretty major
component. The tabs use window.location .href to understand
where the user is and displays the appropriate tabs accordingly.
I have recently learned about the sessionstate properties of
ASP.NET 2.0 and am trying to user cookieless navigation. This makes a
mess of the current URL and, as a result, window.location .href is
pretty useless as a way to tell the tabs
what to display.

In short, how do I display the correct tabs while using sessionstate
in Web.config?

Thanks.
Peter

parse the url so you only look at the page name.

Could use your assistance with this. I have a window that opens via onclick and it is a small window with info about a site. If the user is interested in visiting that site, there is a link to click that opens the site in a new and larger window via onclick. My question is, can I have the smaller window automatically close when the user clicks the link to visit the site? I also have a link that merely closes the smaller info window if...

Hi all, I'm trying to reload a frame from a pop-up, but really cannot figure this out. Within my index.htm file, I make a link to call a pop-up frame with a javascript function that calls the following code from an external javascript source file, dynamically created with PHP document.write('<a href="javascript:void(0);"

I already understand that one cannot disable a browser's forward and back functions. This is a situation where I have code working in Mozilla V1.6 and would like something similar for Opera and IE. I link within a page and display individual divisions of that page, manipulating their visibility and display styles with an onClick function. As long as I explicitly click a link to progress, it works with browsers I've tried.

Hello, I got a little problem. Seems very simple: * I want to open a popup window * Popup-window uses data from its father window. BUT a parent.window does NOT point to the real parents window. Alerting parent.window.location.href shows me, I'm at the wrong window location.

Hi, I am trying to pop-up a window when the user clicks on an image. The problem is that when the user clicks on the image and the window pops up OK, but the window underneath also proceeds to the image. The desired behavior is that when the pop-up is invoked, I want the underlying window to stay put. I don't have this problem when I run the code on my local computer but I do have it when I run the code on geocities.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
