Hi,
Has anybody run into problems with Page.IsValid?
My errors show up when the fields aren't filled correctly, but my
processing continues even if the page is invalid.
I leave name and description blank and I do get the error messages. But
the code still continues to run the addfolder method from my class.
Is there something wrong with this?

It says in MSDN that a field can be associated with more than one
validators but can one validator be associated with more than one
field? Or do I need a validator for each field? How does it work?
Using Handlers?

least one of a set of controls has information in it? I'm sure this can
somehow be done using a custom validator, but would like a validator
that worked like as a custom tag:

I have a control which inherits from TextBox and supplies some
additional data functionality. I was hoping to include a boolean flag
"Required" that can be set in the designer. When the flag is set to
True the control should include a RequiredFieldValidator for itself.
No matter how I add the validator within the control it never seems to
show up in the page.

I need a thread to run a subroutine which updates my main form's
progress bar. I've properly marshaled all UI updates to the main UI
thread, and after the main thread starts the worker thread, it waits
for the worker thread to complete by means of a while t.isAlive,
sleep(0) mechanism. But when my worker thread calls my

Hello All,
I was trying to validate an XML document against a XSD which works
fine. Then I tried to put in a version attribute on the root element and
set it to a fixed value of '1.0' in the schema. Guess what? The
validator completely ignores the attribute inspite of the fact that I
have set the attribute to be required and to have a fixed value of '1.0'.
Any ideas why that could be happening. Any help is appreciated.
