Hi,
I have an ASP.NET project written in VB.NET on a server. I have made a few
changes to some files using notepad while remotely connected to the server.
How can I compile the project on the server (that doesn't have VS.NET
installed on it) so that the changes take affect?
I've tried playing around with vbc.exe but I couldn't get the...

Hello
I have two websites, one contains some core functionality, which i want to
re-use in the other webproject.
In asp.net 1.1 I did the following
- copied the dll of the core dll + the aspx files i needed into a folder of
the new project
- told VS.NET not to compile the aspx files (as the code is already in the
DLL)

Okay, it's been a while since I've managed large projects in vs c++.
So I've got a project structure question.
I have about 5 projects that I am bringing into MC++ VS2005 (from VS
6). I've got 2 of these projects converted, compiled, and running so
far. But all 5 of the projects share some of the code, in a way that
needs to be changed.

Hi all,
In order to solve code-behind of global.asax problem, I removed the code
from global.asax, and just leave one line "<%@ Application Language="C#"
Inherits="Global"%>" in this file. Then I created a CS file in App_Code
folder named Global.asax.cs:
public class Global : System.Web.HttpApplication {
void Application_OnError(object...

I added a Web Deployment Project so I can create a debug, staging, and
release version. Each set is compiled and saved in a separate folder under
the csproj_deploy folder. All works fine. Here's the problem - I'm looking
for an *easy* way to upload (ftp) changed files.
I don't want to upload them all (huge upload), and don't want to have to...

Hi,
Which project type do you prefer? Is the web site or web application
project the best solution? The application I am about to write is
completly new so migrating from vs 2003 is not an issue, but it has to
be easy to deploy the application (precompiled, I don't want to give
away my source)

When creating a new VB Web Application Project with VS2008, there are several
settings (compiler settings, option strict, etc) that appear both in the
web.config file and "My Project". I'm wondering what takes precedent, what
the benefit of using one vs. the other is, and what happens if they conflict?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
