Running on localhost, the code,
'DirectoryInfo d = new
DirectoryInfo(S ystem.Web.HttpC ontext.Current. Server.MapPath( "~/Upload"));'
sets d to the value "c:\happyzoomer \upload"
When the application runs under a web hosting account, it sets d to:
'D:\websites\69 .20.101.123\hap pyzoomer.com\Up load'. and throws the following
error: System.IO.Direc toryNotFoundExc eption: Could not find a part of the
path 'D:\websites\69 .20.101.123\hap pyzoomer.com\Up load'.
I think that the ip address in the path may be the cause of the error.
Either that or perhaps it is a permissions issue. I'm kind of new to web
hosting issues. Can someone suggest an alternate way of coding this?
Thanks,
Keith 1 1144
Try some of the other provided path - mapping methods such as those on the
Request object , e.g., Request.Physica lApplicationPat h etc.
Some of these may give you actual physical directory paths. Otherwise, you
will still need to deal with permissions issues.

I've got a .BAT file that I use for executing various MS Access apps that I
wrote way back in the days of 2.0.
It's evolved over time, but it still contains a number of possible paths to
MSACCESS.EXE, tries them all, takes the first one it finds, and dies if none is
found.
Seems to me like at some time or another I was able to clone this .BAT file and
implement it with no path. Something about MSACCESS being a registered
application.

I am using VS.NET 2005 beta 2. When I run my project locally using the

Hi All,
I am using an API function, which takes file path as an input.
When file path contains special characters (@,#,$,%,&,^, etc), API function
gives an error as "Unable to open input file".
Same file path containing special characters works fine in one machine, but
doesn't work in other.
I am using following API function to get short file path.

Hi all,
when I do >>>sys.path in IDLE (winXP), i get a horrendously long list of
paths, paths I may have used during a lot of trials and errors. How can I
clean up sys.path? I mean, trim it of unnecessary paths?
So far, I know only the command >>>sys.path.append(r'c:....etc...'), but how
to delete or insert at the beginning of the list, I know not.
Thanks,

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
