DataGrid - show weekday in seperate column

Hi!

I have a column with a date.
In another column I want to show the weekday of this date.
I have following code:
<asp:BoundFie ld DataField="myDa te" HeaderText="Wee kDay"
SortExpression= "weekday" DataFormatStrin g="{0:dddd}" HtmlEncode="Fal se"
ApplyFormatInEd itMode="True" />
<asp:BoundFie ld DataField="myDa te" HeaderText="Day "
SortExpression= "weekday" DataFormatStrin g="{0:d}" HtmlEncode="Fal se"
ApplyFormatInEd itMode="True" />
Is there a way to make WeekDay "bound" to Day? And of course WeekDay
should not be editable (using Template), but immediately show changes
within Day.

Regards,

Rudi

I created a collection which is derived from ArrayList and implements IBindingList and ITypedList. Then I bound the DataSource of a data grid into the collection. It could show up the data but the column heading is not in the right order, for eg. I want "ID" column to be the first column but it showed as the second column. Another problem is that anyway i can leave a blank row in the grid to add a new row automatically if the user...

Dear NG, After being away from C# programming for a spell, I am trying my hand at what should be a simple task. I have been hitting my head against the wall this morning. I have a simple order entry application. The code below gets line items from a SQL Server database and returns them to a datagrid by way of a DataTable called lineTable. As long as I am just displaying columns in the SQL database everything works well. I now want...

I have a simple datagrid on a webform. (I'm using VB.NET.) In the page load I get some data, set the .DataSource property of the dg, then do a .DataBind. The columns are automatically created. Question: How can I dynamically change the width's of these columns? Thanks in advance.

I am stuck on trying to generate two columns headers for a datagrid on form load. I can use a datatable as the datasource and get the results I want, but I want to set different column widths and don't see a way to do this through the datagrid properties. I am not using a database connection, I just want to set column headers on the datagrid. I am somewhat new to vb.net. Here is the code I am using. This code works when the...

Hello, Please pardon my ignorance as I'm sure this is easy to do. I have a datagrid where I want to let the user delete columns. I added a context menu to the datagrid that has a delete option. If the user right clicks on a column heading can I highlight that column and then delete it? I'm not exactly sure how to highlight it or figure out what column has been clicked. In my testing so far when I use the context menu I always get the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
