Out of no where I'm starting to get these problems and my Deployment projects
won't build anymore. Does anyone have any idea what's causing this? I've
tried copying these files from another VS.NET 2003 machine, but it doesn't
look like it's working. The only latest change I've made to my machine was
the Windows Update as of Feb. 8th, 2005. I notcied it included the .NET 1.1
SP1 and I don't know if this might have any relation?

Hi.
I am working on a program for the .NET Framework written in C# with Visual
Studio .NET. With this program, one can print a report realized with the
Crystal Report software included with VS .NET. This has all been working
fine until recently, when I had to install and run the program on more
computers. Then I suddenly start getting error messages like: 'Cannot find
KeycodeV2.dll, or invalid keycode'.
The .NET framework is, of...

Hi all,
I'm working on a simulation (can be considered a game) in Python where I
want to be able to dump the simulation state to a file and be able to load
it up later. I have used the standard Python pickle module and it works fine
pickling/unpickling from files.
However, I want to be able to use a third party tool like an XML editor (or
other custom tool) to setup the initial state of the simulation, so I have
been playing around...

Hi, I am loading a CSV file ( Comma Seperated Value) into a Richtext box. I have a routine that splits the data up when it hits
the "," and then copies the results into a listbox. The data also has some different characters in it that I am trying to
remove. The small a with two dots over it and the small y with two dots over it. Here is my code so far to remove the small y:

Hi
I have a GridView which includes the ability to delete rows. This works fine
accept for when a naughty user decides to refresh the browser thereby
posting the same delete command instruction. The problem with this is that
the refresh will either delete another record or generate an exception,
something like this:
An error has occurred because a control with id
'ctl00$Main$UserGrid$ctl11$ctl00' could not be located

I've been installing Python and its supporting packages on
a dedicated server with Fedora Core 6 for about a day now.
This is a standard dedicated rackmount server in a colocation
facility, controlled via Plesk control panel, and turned over
to me with Fedora Core 6 in an empty state. This is the
standard way you get a server in a colo today.
Bringing Python up in this completely clean environment is
a huge hassle, and it doesn't...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
