How do you enable debugging so that people see it from the
client side? I have gone in to properties, clicked on edit
www service, clicked on the home directory tab, clicked on
the configuration button, clicked on the app debugging tab
and then checked the box that says enable ASP client-side
script debugging. But on the client side they...

We are using Visual Studio.NET 2003 in our project with .NET framework
1.1. One of our libraries is a mixed-mode dll assembly consisting of
one managed C++ library, and several unmanaged C++ libraries. We are
using managed C++ as a bridge between managed .NET code and unmanaged
C++ code, which I'm sure is a fairly common practice. The...

Hi,
I am writing a performence critical application, this require me to stick to unmanaged C++ as performance is much better using unmanaged C++ ( about 33% better ), Still, I am trying to avoid the usage of old style COM, my alternative is to expose my unmanaged interface through the CLI, to achieve that I have created a mixed mode DLL in...

hi,
I'm still in the process of transiting from MFC/VC6 to vs2005, and a
lot of things are very alien to me. So hope you could bear with me if my
question sounds stupid. Basically I have native codes written in VC6
which I want to encapsulate in a managed assembly using C++/CLI so that
I can use it in C# easily without all the interop codes....

In VS2003 I had a class library project that I started via a URL and I had
ASP.NET debugging enabled to allow me to debug the web pages code behind in
my project. I have moved the app to VS2005 and I no longer have that option
(Enable ASP.NET debugging checkbox on the project properties Debug Tab). I
can still debug the app by attaching to...

I have an VC++ MFC Win32 application that isn't working correctly when I
build it with VS2005. The problem seems to be in some ADO ActiveX controls
that came with VS6 and are now out of support. So, I have decided to solve
the problem by using a mixed assembly: Most of the program will be my MFC -
based code (unmanaged), but I will implement...

I'm new to working with mixed assemblies. All of my previous experience has
been with VC++/MFC in native, unmanaged applications.
When I create a mixed assembly in which one or more of the files compiles
with /clr the instructions say that I need to change the switch for Debug
information format from Program Database for Edit & Continue to...

All,
A question on JIT debugging with VS2005.
I have a managed app that builds great on one machine (Vista Home
basic, VS2005, JIT enabled for managed/unmanaged code). I can also
debug it on this machine with breakpoints and all.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
