For some reason when I enable the callback feature of the gridview I
still get a page refresh, that is it seems like there is a postback
that occurs, not a callback which is just supposed to update not the
whole page, but a portion of the page.
Strangely enough the URL below

Hi,
Currently using VS2005 c#
Scenario: I have a gridview control displaying many items with paging enabled.
Column is a checkbox column which users can check, but when the gridview
is paged to another page and then back again, the value of the checkbox has
been forgotten.
Is there a better way of persisting the values through the pages in VS2005
other than writing tedious code behind in the OnPageIndexChanging event?
Maybe using the...

Hi,
I have this problem:
In GridView I have template column with ImageButtons - for deleting row.
When I click on that button I get this message
Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using
<pages enableEventValidation="true"/> in configuration or <%@ Page
EnableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this
feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate
from the...

Hi group,
my setup:
I have a GridView that extracts data from my table (a SqlDataSource).
For each row, I have an 'edit' button and a 'delete' button.
The 'edit' button opens a popup, through which one can insert and edit
the table.
The 'delete' button deletes the row.

Hi,
I read about client callback and i have a question.
Assume the option "sorting" is set in a gridview.
Each time the user clicks on a fieldname, the data are sorted.
My question is: are the data on each click fetched from the server, or are
they 'cached' on the client-side and so avoiding a lot of transferts
between server and browser?
If not 'cached', would it not bebetter to use the client callback

I have an ASP.NET application with an SQLdataSource and a Gridview
Everything works very well except I have a 'Button' that goes off and
changes some of the record data back in the underlying database records.
When I press this the data is definitely changed in the database - but on
screen nothing seems to happen.
So how do I force the page to reload the records from the database and
populate the gridview.

Hi,
I am trying to build GridView that will use the option of sorting and
paging by allowing CallBack property in the GridView.
The problem that i found that if i want to add columns in code
behind, the callback option is disabled.
the callback does work if i add the columns in the GridView wizard.
does any one know how to add the columns in code behind and enable the
callback property?
and one more question,

This is a repost of a reproducible problem/bug with GridView with dynamic
SQL and binding. Is there a better ASP.NET newsgroup I should post to where
MS techs or MVPs take an interest in such problems?
Thanks.
Here is an example of what I believe is a bug in ASP.NET 2.0 GridView paging
without postbacks (or at least not documented how to fix it). Once the
GridView is displayed, clicking on any of the paging tools causes the

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
