Can you use VB.Net to set a system-wide hook to intercept all GDI calls from
GDI to the system's hardware? I want to intercept all GDI instructions sent
to the system's hardware layer.
As I understand it (and I may be missing something) GDI sends instructions
to a DEVICE (which can be a printer or display unit or any device for which
a device context can be obtained) and the device does the drawing.
Also...if anyone can tell me how...

Hello All,
I have some pictureboxes on a VB.NET form that are linked to an AccessDB. If
the user wishes to open or edit an image, I need to save the image in the
picturebox to a temp file, then open that file in whatever viewer/editor is
the default for the users system. I tried to do
picturebox1.image.save(filename), which results in "A Generic error occured
in GDI+".
However, if I use an unbound picturebox, do a

I am trying to extract tiff images from a multipage tiff and save them to
disk. This is becoming almost a nightmare for me. I have seen several
examples on the net that talk about this. For example :
http://www.codeproject.com/vb/net/faxeditor.asp THis example should work
great. But when I even try to load the multipage tiff that came with the
example I receive a general gdi+ error.
The same for a TIffManager Class written in...

Hi all...
i am trying to print an image using GDI - but the only thing i get is a
black rectangle.
Does anybody know what is wrong, or how else to get the bitmap on the
printer (GDI+ is not possible. it is a POS printer (for restaurants) and
the printer internal fonts are a MUST for printing speed. as far as i
know printer internal fonts are only accessable through GDI, so all my
printing is GDI up to now)

I've got some problems with loading bills using a bill usercontrol I built.
If I load all current bills in my test environment (156) everything is fine
once, but repeating the operation (which clear all the bills and reshow all
