I wrote a PHP script that allows me to post HTML entries to files on my
server without going through FTP, yadda yadda. It works fine, and last night
it updated both files properly.
Today, it updated both files perfectly again, but only one file is showing
up on the web. I checked the HTML files in my FTP folder, and both are
updated with the new post. To double check, I copied and pasted the contents
of the file as it should be and...

Hi guys. I've written code to embed an ICC profile in a TIFF image, and I
think my IO operations are slowing things down. It is taking about a second
to embed each tag in 7-meg TIFF files. Doesn't sound too bad until you try
doing it to 500 files. Basically what I am doing is this:
1. Read header from image, add 12-byte tag to header, and write to a new
TIFF file
2. Update all the offset pointers in other tags in TIFF header to...

Hi,
Sorry for the obscure title but I'm afraid I can't think of a better
way to describe what happened to one of my clerks last night. The guy was
working late, made a series of changes (accross a number of tables with a
dependant relationship structure - i.e. a customer linked to an order linked
to an invoice linked to a payments etc.) Now when he came back this morning
none of the work he did last night was still there. I'm by no means...

I'm trying to write a small database that tracks people coming and
going from a small campground. I need to have the current guests in
the "current" table" and then have the ability to check them out to
the "archive" table when they leave, by pushing the "check-out"
button. I see the steps as follows:
1. When the check-out button is pressed, the computer should
automatically add the current date into the "date checked-out" field.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
