Is it possible to save session values between pages? I did a little script
to let the users login. I use this script to check username and password the
user introduces in a form in the main page, index.php.
If a user is found with username and password, than I create
$_SESSION and assign it a value of true, else I assign it a value
of false. If a user is non registered, I send it to the proper page to
register, RegistraUtente.php, if he is...

Hi Friends,
I have tried almost everything but I cant seem to shrink the
transaction log.
Executing DBCC SQLPERF(LOGSPACE)
gives me this info:
Database Log Size (MB) Log Space Used (%) Status
MY_eems 368.49219 16.034182 0
I made a complete backup of the database and transaction log and then
executed this statement:
DBCC SHRINKFILE (MYeems_log, 1)

I am fighting with XP-Pro and VS.Net trying to allow some of the pages in my
application to be accessable by 'all' I am using <authentication
mode="Forms" /> and if I Login - everything works fine. My code comes from
a walkthrough (I am learning) and I am currently using
(User.Identity.IsAuthenticated) in the Login.aspx page to validate UserID
against my database (I like it).
What I need is a 'simple' method by which I can set some...

Have a frameset HTML page (parent) with child .aspx pages. When each of the
child pages loads, it checks to see if the user is authenticated, and if not,
redirects to the login page:
if(!this.Context.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated)
{
Response.Redirect("Login.aspx",true);
}
The problem is that if I go to the parent page directly, I get four versions

Hi,
I'm creating a few pages on my site that you need to login to view. The
login pages and the secure pages are .aspx . If I want links at the top of
all pages on the site that says either "Login" or "Welcome Bob. Click here
to logout", do I have to make all of my pages .aspx or is there a way to
keep the unsecure pages HTML and somehow put this dynamic message at the
top? Any help is much appreciated.

I'm somewhat of a newbie to PHP coding, but have developed a site
using the technology, and have been pleasantly surprised by the
capabilities offered. I am more comfortable in the ASP world, however
and am really struggling with managing sessions in PHP, based on my
experiences with managing sessions in ASP.
99.9% of the feedback I have seen when dealing with the errors has
referred to having whitespace before the <?php or after the...

Hi,
Our website used to have all pages in the root folder, and the entry
page is "Login.aspx".
I was asked to move all pages inside a folder named "Aspx"
Is it possible to move also the default page "Login.aspx" into this
folder, or should it be left in the root folder?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
