I've looked in the help and at each of the properties for the grid view, but
can't seem to find what I need.
I have allowpaging set to true for my gridview and when the page loads I go
and fetch 75 records from the DB, I know there are 750 records total in the
DB.
How can I control the paging? I don't want to go and get all 750 records at
once then allow the grid view to do the paging. Currently the biggest issue
I'm facing is how to...

I have a GridView bound to an ObjectDataSource. I have a Button that calls
GridView.DataBind. I want the row that is selected before the DataBind to
still be selected afterwards.
This happens automatically if the data doesn't change. But if records have
been added or deleted then it looks as if some code is necessary: I've done
this by using GridView.SelectedValue to get the key value of the currently
selected Row and then by itterating...

Hi There,
I have a grid view which has paging enabled in it. One of the colums is
a check box and checkbox selections shows a subset of rows a user has
selected from available rows. I need to update the dataset by checking
the rows selected by a user. What is the best way to do that?
I have paging enabled in the gridview and if the user selects some rows
in the first page and a few rows in the second page, I save the ids in
the...

Hi everyone,
In a datagrid the entire data is read but only the page you want is
displayed to the user when you enable paging. Does the Gridview control
works in the same way?
So if you have 100000 records and you only want 10 records displayed on
each page, does it read all 100000 and display 10, or does it only read
what it needs (Read 10 and display 10)? If it reads all, I can't see
how this control can be useful for anything but...

ASP.NET 2.0, VS 2005
I have a gridview with paging enabled, bound to an objectdatasource.
Both were dropped on to the page and configured via the wizards.
Basically working as expected.
The gridview's databind method is apparently called when the page is loaded
as I have no code calling the databind method.
How can I keep the gridview from databinding automatically and control it
myself?

Hi,
I have a .NET page which has a gridview of customers from Northwind
database. There's a checkbox for each customer and the gridview allows
paging.
I would like to be able to persist the checkbox status while paging. I'm
starting with the code below but I can't get it to work. You can check some
of the checkboxes and when you click on the pager, no selection is reflected
by the trace. Why's that?

Without a SQLDataSource declaratively linked to a GridView, I
programmatically create a dataset and bind it to a GridView with
EnableSortingAndPagingCallbacks=True and Paging=True. The GridView displays
(in a View of a MultiView) but when I press the page numbers to page through
the dataset, the GridView disappears completely (is not rendered) without a
postback. When I take action (press a button) to show the GridView again,
the GridView...

hi there ;)
asp.net 2.0
I'm having problem with paging in GridView, I'm using custom paging. The
ObjectDataSource reads in the rows needed for displaying each page as each
page is selected. So that the entire resultset isn't read, but instead just
enough to display the pages.
The problem now is that the GridView is only displaying the 2 rows, The

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
