I wrote a simple client/server chat program and the client runs as an
activex control within an asp page. I have the users logging into
the page using widows authentication and I'm using
Request.ServerVariables("AUTH_USER") to get the users name. I'd like
to pass this name to the activex chat client thru the page but I'm
having some difficulty. I tried passing it as a parameter to the

The following code works fine when previewing a Crystal report using
ASP, EXCEPT when it gets to a report using a SubReport and its
associated parameters. The whole report just comes up blank with this
error message: "The Error Message was: Error detected by database
DLL.from: Crystal Reports ActiveX Designer".
What am I doing wrong in the SubReport section below and how do I
properly pass in sproc params to the subreport? Thanks.

I have an activeX control (programmed with c++) which is displayed in
the Internet Explorer via the object tag. Now, as you probably know,
you can pass parameters to the activeX control by using the param tag.
My question now is, how do I get these parameters into my activeX
control.
I found hints about using IPropertyBag, but didn't find a good example

I would like to be able to set parameter values for an
ActiveX control hosted on an ASP.NET .aspx page from a
C# code behind file. The ActiveX registration code is
contained in <OBJECT></OBJECT> tags hosted in the .aspx
file.
The control in question is a file viewer. I need to be
able to set the filename <PARAM NAME="Filename"
VALUE="filename.ext"> reference under the
<OBJECT></OBJECT> tags dynamically.
