Hello,
I am, for almost 2 days, trying to create a nested master page.
The objective is: create a NESTED master page at RUNTIME.
I looked everywhere and I couldn't find a solution. Basically what I
need is:
Parent.master
| ---Child.master
|---Page.aspx
I know that in Page.aspx I can define, at runtime, the page master file
in the Page.Preinit event:
Me.MasterPageFi le = "~/Child.master"
However, in Child.master I am not able to define a Page.PreInit event.
So how to I say to Child.master to use Parent.master as master page.
Remember that I am trying to do this at Runtime and not in aspx code.
Could somebody help me out?
I don't know what else to try.
Thanks,
Miguel 1 1335

Hey all,
I'm building out my first project using asp.net v2.0 master pages. It seems
that when you use master pages and try to reference document.body.scrollTop
it allways = zero/0. The same code works in a regular .htm file.
Has anyone else seen this?
Anyone know how to get the body.scrollTop property using masterpages.
Thanks for any help
Andy

Again another simple concept that appears NOT to be intuitive or I'm just
stupid. I've read the WROX book and the example doesn't actually show how
the .master page links in the other content pages? Kinda sorta a critical
point no?
Am I missing something?
Rob.
P.S. the day I find a book that actually is useful rather than just a

Hello:
I am struggling with something that would seem to be very easy.
I am using a master page.
On the content page (which includes the master page), I have a form with a
submit input type button.
Then, within the IsPostback section of Page_Load, I try to read the value of

There comes a time when you know you are not going to be able to work
something out yourself, however hard you try. I have reached that moment.
I have a master page and a slave page (or whatever one calls it)
All I want to do is show a Google map on the slave page.
The map that Google gives as an example when it gives you a key would be
just fine.
I have searched high and low for a means of doing this but all I could find

Hello,
for a large web site project we would like to use nested Master Pages.
Unfortunely VS2005 is not able to show pages in design mode when
nested Master pages are used.
This has the consequence that also each content page cannot be used in
design mode.
It is impossible to design hundrets of pages in source mode without design

I have an old existing website with a Header/ Left Hand Menu and a
iframe as the main body content, adjacent to the menu. So for every
click on the menu item, I used to load a aspx page on the iframe and
hence i am not loading the entire menu and header for each request.
When I try and port the above model to Master Page
1) The menu ( I thot of having the Menu Web control), Header would be
moved to the master page.

Hi,
I have build a header and footer control which I want to add to my master
page, so in essence I want the header, a contact placeholder and a footer.
This is something I used to do with vs2003 all the time and never had any
problems.
In vs2005 using master pages, I see the content placeholder is in a div tag.
So I add another before and after to hold my controls.

I just recently converted a few pages of my application to using master
pages. Problem is, in all of my content pages, the contents are
centered. I can't figure out why. The markup in the content page
seems to ignore any attempts to manually align right. So what's the
deal?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
