AJAX/ATLAS: Errors after you click the browsers back button

Hi everyone

I am getting the above problem when I am trying to use AJAX on my
Visual Studio 2005 solution - I seem to keep getting it when I click
the back button in my browser. (And, the controls that are wired to
the AJAX lose their value despite being in the ViewState).

I am using the latest version that I downloaded from ajax.asp.net a
couple of days ago.

What I have is four heirarchical drop-down boxes in an UpdatePanel, and
when you change the first box it changes the second, which changes the
third... you get the idea I am sure :)

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for your help

Darren

Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled

this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events

the data is valid and expected, use the
ClientScriptMan ager.RegisterFo rEventValidatio n method in order to
register the postback or callback data for validation.

Hi. I want to implement a right click context menu using Atlas for a web app. The page will list some usernames. Right clicking on a username needs to send the user name to a webservice, which then returns a list of available options for that user to be displayed in the right click menu.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had experience using ajax with asp.net controls. What i'm looking for, are ways to implement and possible problems. A way to implement could be rendering the control on the server side, and send the html string back to javascript. A possible problem is the control post back behavior and control view state usage. Thanks, Sharon.

Hello, I have created some pages in the (old) Atlas pages and migrated to AJAX version. After the update I noticed that any page containing ASP.NET AJAX won't compile anymore. Even if the same tags and properties are used in a page without a masterpage. Does anyone shares this exprerience with me or does anyone knows an answer? For the time being, I copy-pased the headings in my masterpage to the clield pages.

I have an aspx page where I have a repeater control that repeats a asp:LinkButton. When I click on one of the links, I get a post back, and the page flashes. A friend told me to look into ATLAS/AJAX, but didn't go into much detail. From what I read/gathered, I came up with this code: <asp:SqlDataSource ID="dsCategories" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:cstrDataSource %>" SelectCommand="SELECT , FROM ORDER BY ">...

Hello All, I am new to ajax and wanted to start by trying something simple. I have a web form with an updatepanel and then inside the update panel I have a listbox. Then outside of the updatepanel I have a button. In my buttons click event in the cs / code behind, I have a loop that just inserts items in the listbox. My question is, once I click the button and the loop begins, how do I get it to update the listbox? Does this make since?...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
