I was wondering if someone can help me with an web application design
problem. I have a aspx page which builds up an arraylist called addresses
and outputs the values in the arraylist items to a datagrid. I am using the
viewstate object to store the Arraylist items on the page on postback.
My PROBLEM is that I need to redirect the user to a new aspx page and on
this new page i need to be able to access the items in my arraylist. Is this...

Hello, all!
I started to develop my application with ASP.Net 2.0 and got the strange
behavior with pages, where user change any form control (i.e. checkbox,
button, etc.).
Ex.: when I clicked on button - page is not submit (postback);
if I create dropdown box with AutoPostBack = true, or change button property
to UseSubmitBehavior = false,
I get error (only in IE!):

Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKey> configuration specifies the same
validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a
cluster.
The above message is what I get in my ASP.NET 2.0 page. I have debugging
turned on and for those who want to see the stack trace, see below.

open to long without activity. Is there any way to force a re-load of the
page or go to another page if the page has expired instead of getting the

I'm getting the much-hated "validation of viewstate MAC failed" error. This
is on an ASP.Net 2.0 app running in IIS with IE 6+ as the browser.
The full error text is:
Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web
Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKeyconfiguration specifies the same
validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a
cluster.

Hello,
I have a web project (VS 2008 c#). I have a page that opens, but when I try
to call an assembly (managed c++) on a submit event, I get the following
error on the web server, but not on my development machine. It seems that
this is the only dll in the Bin folder that has this problem. Any help with
this would be appreciated.

The problem was my login system worked fine on my local machine, but when I FTPed my application to my remote server and then launched it, the user names and roles I created locally...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
