I have a user control being used instead of a frame page. when the user
clicks on a menu item I need to send the ID (integer value) of that menu as
a parameter in the postback of the user control which will be used to query
sql server to repopulate the datagrid in the user control.
I also wrapped the user control in a panel element so I could position it on
the page.
I'm clueless on how to get started with this.

I have message entry screen that's causing me a bit of an issue. At the
moment, there are 2 buttons, one is used to send message to another user
(btnSend) and another is used to send messages to all users (btnSendAll).
When user hits enter, I also simulate the effect of clicking button
(btnSend). However, what I found btnSend doesn't fire (unless I click on the
button).
The postback function I call is as follows:

It would be udeful to be able to get the current on-screen values from a
FormView that is databound to an ObjectDataSource by using a callback instead
of a postback. For example:
public void RaiseCallbackEvent(string eventArgs)
{
// update the data object with the values currently on screen
FormView1.UpdateItem(true);
}

Hi all,
I have a bunch of dropdownlists that are populated in client-side
javascript. When i do a postback I get the following error:-
Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using
<pages enableEventValidation="true"/> in configuration or <%@ Page
EnableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this
feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate

Hello All,
Here is my issue and thanks in advance for any assistance.
I have a base page with a dropdownlist that fires an event with
the selected index. The content page catches the event and sets
a connection string to the database. The content page has a
simple gridview that should show records from the selected
database. Initial content page displays data from correct place.
first change of dropdownlist correctly updates content...

hi,
using .net 2.0, i have a web form with lots of textboxes, drop-down-lists
etc. There are lots of required field validators and regular expression
validators. When i click the 'save' button, the client-side validation is
executed immediately and the errors flash up on screen. However at the same
time, a post-back is performed and the page is obviously un-usable while it
is awaiting a response from the server. it looks very poor from...

I have a simple Login page that suddenly is producing this error.
What is perplexing is that I didn't touch this page or anything (that I can
think of that is related)
All I did was make another aspx page (MemberResults.aspx) into a content
page for my master page.
As soon as I added the content opening and closing tag to MemberResults...
up popped this error in my Login page (which is in no way - yet - related)

I have a news section of the website contained within the updatepanel.
What I want is that when a news summary is clicked, the news item
opens up in that same box. I thought I wired everything up correctly
so that it did not do a postback. But when I walked through the
execution process, it in fact does cause a postback when the "expand"
event is raised. Why does this happen? Can someone help me? Thanks.
Here is the .aspx part

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
