I have an irritating problem with VS.NET2003, C#. I wrote some code that
would build my application menu from an XML resource file. Purely to make it
easy for me to edit, so I've added this file as an embedded resource.
My irritation, is that when I update the resource file and nothing else. VS
does not build the project with the newly edited resource file. So if I run
the application again, it actually hasn't been updated to use my newly...

I have an assembly (AppResources.dll) which contains a number of embedded
resource files. Most of these are key/value pairs of relevant strings; a few
are images and sounds; some more are XML files. My application will load the
resources into memory as they are needed.
I would like to be able to read and write to these embedded resources.
Is it possible to write to an embedded resource within an assembly? If so,
how? If it's not...

I created an embedded resource by adding a Swatches.xml file to my Solution and then making it an embedded resource in
the VS IDE.
When I try to open a stream to the resource using GetManifestResourceStream("Swatches.xml") it fails.
Do I need to prefix the resource with a namespace or something?
Thanks,

At the risk of being publically humiliated, might I ask the following
simple question.
I have a solution with one project. This project, WindowsApplication1,
has one "form" and one "bitmap" (the bitmap created by right clicking
on the project, selecting add new item, then add bitmap file). The
project explorer says my bitmap is called "Bitmap1.bmp".
If I have a function in my project declared as

In an ASP.NET project I am setting the content type of my .ascx and
..aspx files to Embedded Resource for a separate reason. When I do this
they get embedded as "RootNamespace.Filename" but I would like them to
be embedded as "RootNamespace.Folder.Filename".
I see that the .resources files are embedded with the containing folder
information in the namespace, and I think c# projects work this way,
too. Is there any way (a vbc command...

I search in all the Disscussion but can not found.
How can I create a MS Access Database file using C# code with a given Table
Structure ?
For example, I want to create a Access Database File with 2 tables: Student
and Department, of course, using C# code, not using MS Access to create

I have the following routine for retrieving error message strigs from a resource file which is embedded in the project. But when it
is called I get the error messsage "Could not find any resources.." shown underneath the code.
The error message indicates that it is looking for resource ResourceExceptions.resource which is not what was embedded in the code
by Visual Studio. The resource file is ResourceExceptions.resx.
If I try to change...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
