Hello,
I've been playing with master/detail views as well as editing in the
gridview, and I ran across a strange problem that I am not exactly sure
where to go to try to solve.
I have 2 tables, a table of cars (pretty basic, an ID, a description, and a
Color ID) and a table of colors (Color ID, and a color description). I've
added a gridview and a detailsview as I'm playing with both and how to get
editing features to work the way I...

Hi,
I am creating a Composite Control within which I have a GridView. In
this GridView, I have three TemplateFields, the last one being a
template with a LinkButton which is meant to be clicked so I can
capture this event to do something about it. The problem is that in the
CreateChildControls method, I initialize the GridView and link its
RowCommand event to a method (so I can capture the LinkButton Click)
but it doesn't work... I put...

The problem
I'm using the .NET GridView and FormView objects for the first time and
im getting the error "An OleDbParameter with ParameterName '@ID' is not
contained by this OleDbParameterCollection" whenI try to write a new record.
Delete and Modify work fine its just the add record function causes the
error.

Hi, I'm a newbie to ASP.NET programming but not to Visual Studio.
I'm having trouble getting my Master-Details page to work. I have a
page enabled GridView which is linked to a FormView control through an
objectdatasource. The paging on my GridView works fine except that when
I change the page the FormView
does not update. I tried setting the selectedindex to 0 in the
GridView's PageIndexChanged event and manually binding the formview...

Howdy,
I have a gridview with a linkbutton in a template column (code is below).
When the linkbutton is clicked i want to display a little confirm right in
the gridview to confirm deleting the row. I tried using the following to
grab the index, which appears to work on command columns, but not with
buttons in a template? is this true? or am i missing something. how do I get
the row index? Its returning the ID of the record, not the index...

Hi, I have a ASP.NET 2.0 Web Application. Many of the pages use the ASP.NET
GridView with paging and sorting.
One of the columns of this Gridview is a template column (LinkButton). The
data being retrieved and showed in this GridView produce more than one page
of data.
A given user clicks on the first row hyper link on the Grid on the first
page, then the first row hyper link color changes to look as "visited".
Then the user navigates to...

Greetings,
I have a GridView control. For a couple of reasons, I ended up with a
TemplateField to contain my Edit and Delete links, something like this:
<asp:TemplateField ShowHeader="False">
<EditItemTemplate>
<asp:LinkButton ID="LinkButton1" runat="server" CausesValidation="True"
CommandName="Update" Text="Update"></asp:LinkButton>
<asp:LinkButton ID="LinkButton2" runat="server"

I have been fighting with trying to update a GridView for a while. I
don't want to use the "built-in" way to do it because I am using
business layer methods for updating and deleteing and I don't want to
have my parameter names in those methods have to be
"original_Parametername" or even if I change the
OldValuesParameterFormatString to get rid of the "original" I would
still have just "Parametername". I think most people user parameters...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
