I'm giving this post another try - it can't be too difficult for
everyone....
In the program below, the web page has dataGrid1. the only thing that has
been done to it at design time is to check the "Create columns automatically
at runtime" checkbox - nothing else.
The code below does indeed create the visual grid as expected. Furthermore
the Cell contents and Item count all exist and contain expected values.
However there is no...

I had to draw my own control because I couldn't find any control doing what
I wanted it to do. This control has a grid that I need to have control over.
To do that, I draw each line of the grid using a 1pixel pictureBox. I also
need "boxes" to be placed within that grid depending on data pulled from my
dataset. I also used pictureBox controls for that. All those components that
I use to draw my control are added to the controls collection...

I am looking for a way to hide a property I created on a user control from a
property grid at runtime but allow it to be seen at design time.
Any ideas?
I tried setting the category of the property to 'Design' and that does not
do it.
I tried adding the 'DesignOnly' attribute and that does not do it.

In the Visual Studio 2005 designer, I have a grid, a binding source, and a
data set which contains two data tables.
In the Designer, I make the settings below. If I set the DataMember for the
binding source to Table1, I see the data in Table 1. If I set the DataMember
for the binding source to Table2, I see the data in Table 2. This all works
great.
I need to be able to reassign the DataMember for the binding source at
run-time. If I...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
