Hello,
I am working on a test site to explore the new login controls and membership
features of ASP.NET v2.0. I have tested the controls using SQL Express and
have now decided to try using a central SQL Server 2000 database. When I use
the all of the included controls with SQL Express everything works great but
when I use it against SQL Server 2000 I can't get past the login page.

Hi. I'm tring to implement AD login with .net beta2 here.
I am using asp:Login control, but the Login always fails.
I tried to validate manually using
Membership.ValidateUser("domain\user", "pass") or ("user", "pass"), but
it always returns "False".
The credentials are right, and it seems to connect to AD because it
doesn't give me any error when trying to validate, but i can't be sure.

I have create a custom membership provider.
The common usage of custom membership is set it as default Membership
Provider win web.config, and use login controls with it.
How can I use custom membership provider without Login Controls?
For example, the name of my custom membership provider MyMembershipProvider.
Is the codes below right?

I am starting a rewrite of an existing Classic ASP web site in ASP.NET 2.0.
The existing ASP application has several types of users, each with a separate
login process (separate login page, separate DB tables, etc). For one of
these user types, the current application has an additional input field
required for login… they have a username, password, and another “location

Hi everybody there,
I have a special Login page that wants users to enter 3 passwords
rather than a single password. But can't do it with Login control. I
tried following scenarios:
1. Put an Login in the page and set its Visible = False instead put my
own username and 3 password on the form. Then I checked 2nd and 3rd
password seperately and passed username and password to Login control
via its Username and Password properties but...

I'm trying to use the login control and have it use the membership
provider framework to authenticate users and am having a problem (which
i'm sure will turn out to be a stupid mistake on my part)... this is
what I have done thus far:
Created a database on a sql 2000 server and then used the aspnet_regsql
tool to create the membership tables

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
