Cannot load IE WebControl Treeview in webpart

Hi,

While loading a user control with IE WebControl's tree view in it, on a
webpart, i am getting this error.

Error: unable to load ~\UserControls\ TreeViewControl .ascx
Details: Parser Error: Could not load type
Microsoft.Web.U I.WebControls.D esign.CssCollec tionEditor from assembly
mscorlib, Version=1.0.500 0.0, Culture=neutral ,
PublicKeyToken= b77a5c561934e08 9.
Following is the source code of the user control that i am embedding in web
part.
=============== =============== =============== =============== ==
<%@ Control Language="vb" AutoEventWireup ="false"
Codebehind="Tre eViewControl.as cx.vb" Inherits="MyTre e.TreeViewContr ol"
TargetSchema="h ttp://schemas.microso ft.com/intellisense/ie5" %>
<%@ Register TagPrefix="ie" Namespace="Micr osoft.Web.UI.We bControls"
Assembly="Micro soft.Web.UI.Web Controls" Version=1.0.2.2 26"%>
<ie:treeview id="tvMenu" tabIndex="1"
HoverStyle="fon t-family:Verdana; font-size:8pt;font-weight:Bold;"
DefaultStyle="f ont-family:Verdana; font-size:8pt;font-weight:normal;"
Runat="server" CssClass="treev iew"></ie:treeview>

I have installed the IE Web Controls on server where webpart is hosted.

Any ideas what could be wrong? Anything wrong with installation on remote
server?

Thanks and awaiting a response....

Bakground: I have a webform (LoadCtl.aspx) which loads the user control to a placeholder dynamically based on the ctlName querystring passed in the URL. Webform (LoadCtl.aspx) also passes a variable (targetId) in to the usercontrol (IntergySite.aspx) by calling its setter method. Currently, I am using if-then-else and hardcoded the User Control Object to do casting and call the setter method. Question: Is there any way I could load,...

When running a page I am working on, I recieve the following error: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory. I suspect this has something to do with the problem I posted in a recent posting "HyperLink.NavigateUrl always adds an extra ../ when going to a higher level directory" on Sunday, May 29, 2005 7:33 PM However, I cannot be sure because I cannot view the generated code since it gives the error before anything is...

I download IEWebControls.exe, and installed it. Installation created IE Web Controls directory. The readme.txt said, 3. Create a /bin subdirectory for the application and copy the file Microsoft.Web.UI.WebControls.dll to this directory. However I could locate Microsoft.Web.UI.WebControls.dll. Actually I could not find any DLL under the directory tree created by the install program.

Hi, I'm trying to use the TreeView control in .NET 2.0 along with master pages and have encountered a problem. I have a master page for my site... pretty standard... on that page I have my treeview wrapped inside a <FORM> because it is required that reads from a .sitemap file. However - on one of my pages I want to have a contact form... but I can only have 1 form on a page. On my other pages I do not want to have a contact form.

I need to get the HTML output from a webcontrol as a string instead of it being rendered on the page. I have the following code: Dim SiteMapSource As New SiteMapDataSource() Dim TreeView1 As New TreeView() TreeView1.DataSource = SiteMapSource TreeView1.ShowExpandCollapse = True

I've created a few simple webparts and they work fine. I have now created a customised TreeView webpart (it is populated by a xml file description of a directory on disk). It renders okay but when you click on a Node (dynamic populate = true) to view the contents of a folder, you get a Javascript error "object expected". Having done some investigation and comparing it using the same custom control but created at compile time on the page,...

Hi, I want to create a WebPart, that shows a TreeView. So i created a class that derives from WebPart created an TreeView control therein and added it to the Controls collection. I also added some root and child nodes. The TreeView shows up in the WebPart allright and if I set the Expanded property to true ot shows expanded. So far so good. The only problem is, the expand / collaps buttons don't work. It shows "error on the page" in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
