Hi,
I have been toying around with this for a day now. Has anyone else tried it?
Two questions:
1: How do you pass a paramater to the server side event, e.g. if you wanted
to pass a selected value from a dropdownlist to the server side event? I cant
see a way of doing it. I have ended up just returning a big dataset to the
client javascript and filtering it there. I'd rather pass in a variable to
the server side code and only return...

I was thinking about developing a workflow application yesterday and was
musing over the different approaches than one could take in restricting
specific actions on a ticket( Form ) at any said stage.
One approach I have used on other systems is to prevent the action buttons
appearing. For example, if one did not have the Role of Administrator, one
would be prevented from deleting a ticket not created by oneself.
However, it did occur...

I just noticed that prototype.js is one of the files in the Ajax.NET
distribution - I'm pretty concerned about this. Does anyone know if this
is the same "prototype.js" that is not well-liked around here?
If so, do you know if Ajax.NET can be used without prototype.js?

Hello,
with ASP.NET 2.0 Ajax every unexpected error is managed client-side with a
popup that reports the error to the user. In ASP.NET 3.5 this behavor has
been changed: how can I have a similar behavor? I'd like that every
exception raised from ASP.NET runtime during an asyncpostback is managed in
client side with a popup that reports the error message.
thanks

ASP.NET
I have an application which use ASP.NET Autocomplete extender which works
great. But I have a question how to update all the fields on the screen
using Ajax.
Users starts typing in a text field which causes the Autocomplete extender
to display 10 like items, after the users selects an item (which is a key in
the database) I want the application to go to the database retrieve a record
and populate the fields.

ASP.NET 2.0
I have an AutoCompleteExtender which works fine- I am using name, id pair in
the WebService , but what I am trying to do is: once the user selects an
item from the AutoCompleteExtender I want to automatically retreive data
from the database and populate the fields on the screen.
How do I trigger a server side event after the user selects an item from the
AutoCompleteExtender or retrieve data from database on client side...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
