Hello,
I want to upload files via an HTML form and store them somewhere on my
webspace. So far so good. I am just a bit concerned about security issues
and traffic. My provider has set a file size limit of 20MB in php.ini. My
questions are:
1) If some evil web terrorist tries to upload a file which is larger than
the maximum allowed by the setting in php.ini - will the transfer be
cancelled by the server when the limit is reached so...

Hello there,
I am at my wit's end ! I have used the following script succesfully to
upload an image to my web space. But what I really want to be able to do is
to update an existing record in a table in MySQL with the path & filename to
the image.
I have successfully uploaded and performed an update query on the database,
but the problem I have is I cannot retain the primary key field in a
variable which is then used in a SQL update...

I've a page where the user may enter some values and upload some pictures.
Unfortunately, some pictures coming from digital camera are very big, and
take a lot of time for uploading.
I've created a DIV that I show when uploading, but this uses DHTML and
javascript, wich are not available everywhere.
How to do something like:

Hi,
We need to allow webusers to upload a file on our website (on Server3, all
servers run Server 2003, remotely hosted) and eventually save it on our SBS
Server (Server2) which is not exposed through our firewall. We have another
server (Server1) within the SBS domain that is exposed through port 80 of
the firewall on which we host some web services and images.
What is the best architecture for getting the file from the remotely...

I am utilizing the ASP.net FileUpload control to upload a file. After
upload, if a user tries to delete the file, I get the dreaded
The process cannot access the file
"D:\Inetpub\wwwroot\images\uploads\uploadedFile.jpg' because it is
being used by another process.
If I wait 15 seconds, the error will dissappear.
I did an extensive search on this error as it pertains to file uploads

Ok, here is the issue: I have 2 web pages one does a file upload to a
database and the other page does a FTP to a server, both pages use the
c:\temp directory.
The page that uploads to a database works fine, the page that FTP's the
files returns me an error (Access denied filename.txt)
Now the asp.net ID has full control of the c:\temp directory. The only
difference in the 2 pages is that page 2 creates a text file writes data to
it then...

Note: You may skip to the end of the article if all you want is the perl code.
Introduction
Uploading files from a local computer to a remote web server has many useful purposes, the most obvious of which is the sharing of files. I've moved an existing site (which I didn't write) from a apache/php/mysql
host under windows to a linux apache/php/mysql host.
I've sorted out most problems except one.
There is an upload function on the site, which uploads files via POST to
temp folder and then moves it into a folder on the host using php function
move_uploaded_file. Under windows this works fine but on the linux host the
uploaded file is created with 600 permissions so...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
