I am looking for a way to create a task (in the windows task scheduler) from

http://www.mtogden.com/~tom/files/SchedulingAgentVB6.zip
However, when I test it with a basic example:
Dim jb as CJob

I am getting error in a vbscript:
ActiveX component cant create object: Excel.Application.
The vbscript code is:
Dim objExcel
Set objExcel = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
I am pretty sure it is a permission issue because the script works when
I point the browser directly at the .htm file on the c: drive:
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\DemoSite\VbScriptTest.htm

Hi There,
I'm trying to get a listing of shares from a server. The server is a
linux box running samba and LDAP for directory services (just for
background info!)
I have some code which I copied out of the MSDN library which is
supposed to get a list of available shares from a windows server.
However when I try to access the server with this code, I get the

I have a windows app. written in VB6, now we need to expose some of
its classes through a web service.
I am only able to expose the classes using late binding becasue that's
the way the original VB6 was written. I ahve already exposed some of
the original classes, and they work fine. Now, I added a new ActiveX
component to the windows app (in vb6). I am able to call it by late
binding from within the vb6 app. itself, and from a dummy vbs...

Hi,
I'm developing an application that runs in AspNet on Win2003 server.
Every thing runs OK in the development environment, but in the customer
site I have a problem running "CreateObject("ADSystemInfo")" (I get
"Cannot create ActiveX component" error).
The strangest thing is that when I'm running the site through mmc
console, all is all right, but with IE - I get the error!!!!

I'm developing a vb.net 2.0 webservice which accesses a lotus notes
database using lotus domino api. This works fine on my local client if I
select "Use Visual Studio Development server" (on project properties).
But as soon as I select "Use IIS Web Server" I always got error messages.
One says: "Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
