I haven't been able to figure this out and would
appreciate some help...
I have two tables, both with autonumber primary
keys, and linked in a conventional master-child
relationship. I've created forms for both those
tables, and inserted the child table form into the
master table form as a subform. It works just as
it is supposed to, in that I can create a new master
record, and then add detail records.

I have run into a situation where I need to run the !IsPostBack code under
one circumstance, even if it is a postback. Something that may complicate
matters more is that this is a double postback event.
I have a filemanager type application that allows me to dynamically create a
new folder on the web server. After the new folder is created, I need to
reread the directory and display all the current folders in this directory
to the user....

Hello all,
I have a master page that hosts an ASCX control and a
contentplaceholder. The control displays a list of document headings.
When the user clicks on a heading, I wish to redirect to the 'display
note' page (which loads into the content placeholder on the master
page).
The issue is, that when they then click another heading, the page
doesn't seem to redirect (I'm guessing because the browser is already

I have setup a public variable in the Master Page "code-behind-file". Now I
would like to set that value from the UserControl, but I can't seem to find a
way to do this. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm basically trying to set it up
so that I can keep the User infor (userid, ect) in the Masterpage so that
other pages can access it. Thanks for any ideas.

Hi,
I have a Web User Control, Lets say "Foo.ascx", that contains a button
"btnFoo".
I have a Master Page "Bar.master", that has a label "lblBar". This
label is exposed by a public property BarLabelText.
I now have a contentpage "FooBar.aspx", where "Bar.master" is the
master page and in the content section has the control "Foo.ascx".

Hi,
I have ASP.NET user control that implements ICallbackEventHandler. Partial
postback works perfectly when I put control on a regular webform.
But when I put it on page that has master page control doesn't work.
I'm getting following error :"The target <namefor the callback could not
be found or did not implement ICallbackEventHandler."
It's error like when control didn't implement ICallbackEventHandler, but

Hi
I have a standard asp page which uses a MasterPage. The MasterPage contains
a User control. How can I access a public method in the User control from my
WebForm page? I can't move the method to another location because it
populates a Textbox in the user control page.
Thanks

Hi,
Simply put, I have a control in MasterPage and another in content.
When the control in content fires off post back, MasterPage also runs
and returns post back. I want to control these where post back
happens in respected area, within content or within MasterPage. What
will be the simplest and logical way to implement this? TIA.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
