Hi All
I have been trying to add a control to the header cell of
a datagrid on my ASP.NET page. These controls are defined
in the HTML as ASP.NET web controls.
They are being added into the header of the datagrid in
the "ItemDataBound" method of the grid. However, once,
they are added in the grid, i seem to lose the event
handler for the same control. Is there anyone who has
tried this before and knows why this is hapenning ??

Hello all,
I have always been having this issue and wondering what the solution is.
When I set the enableviewstate property to false for a textbox, the textbox
always retains its value after a postback occurs. Why is this? I want the
textbox to become empty after postback. How can I do it without setting
textbox.text = "" and without doing Response.redirect to the same page.

Hi,
I have a textbox with a Custom Validator that utilizes the OnServerValidate
method for that textbox. This works fine, however the method only executes
when data exists in that textbox after the Submit button is clicked. If I
click the submit button and no data exists in the textbox, the
OnServerValidate method does not fire.
I'd like the OnServerValidate method to either execute every time the Submit
button is clicked. I am...

When testing a form of mine which uses RequiredFieldValidators that have the
Display property set to "Dynamic" the ErrorMessage property is automatically
removed when an entry is completely typed and the user leaves the textbox.
However, if the entry is selected from the list of previously typed entries,
the error does not disappear until the page is validated using the
Page.Validate() method. I find this very weird (not to mention it may...

Hello,
I will discuss at a high level what is happening on an ASP.NET web page
I developed a year ago in ASP.NET using Visual Studio 2003 and
currently support.
I have an ASP.NET web page that is broken out into two sections. One
section is where a user enters the main infomation around a financial
outlook record and the second section is dynamic content that generates
a table of values based on the infromation entered in the first...

I have a grid control (inherits from Placeholder) that has a few
buttons on it. On this grid there is a filter form, which allows the
user to filter/search the table for specific information. My problem
is, that the order in which the event gets called. What is basically
happening is that the control is instantiated, I call my initialize
method, then I wait for the user to call GenerateGrid, in case they
wanted to make any last minute...

Well, I've figured out a way around this mess. I have no idea why it doesn't work the way I think it should but I do know how to get it to work. The
scenario is that I have a form that has one submit button on it. I want a client side validation function to run before submit. I have a server side
event handler on the button that executes the necessary server side code. Sounds simple. Well, the problem is that once you put client side...

Using C# and JavaScript Framework 2.0
My users want to be able to start a search by clicking the enter key. Since
the page uses View control, I placed an onkeypress event on the table for
each view to check for keyCode 13. If it detects the enter key, then it calls
a JS function that does some validation and then calls the button click that
should have been fired for the active view. For example:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
