Hi,
I have a form with onSubmit embedded in the <form>
tag. The form is submitted programatically through
javascript . While the form submits fine, nothing
I'm doing seems to get it to also register the code in the onSubmit event.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening or how to resolve it?

I have two frames. Frame "search" contains a search form specifying
an onsubmit action like so:
<form ... onsubmit="foo();">

The other frame contains a <img ... onclick="perform_search();"> where
the perform_search function is defined as follows:

I am wondering about what seems to be a particular quirk in Javascript
that does not allow form event listeners (e.g. "onsubmit=...") to work
properly. In the code below, I would like to set up a function
(doOnSubmit) that is called when the form is submitted.
But there is a "return false;" in the "onclick" of the button. If this
"return false" is removed, the code works as I would hope it would.
With it there, doOnSubmit is never...

Hello,
I am trying to call Javascript from FORM's onSubmit, and return false,
so the form is not actually submitted.
Normally I can just add 'return false;' to onSubmit to accomplish
this, like so:
<form name="XX" method="get" action="/Foo" onsubmit="onSearch();
return false;">

This is a 2-part question:
1) I have a web form with multiple ImageButtons on it. I'd like them
all to do the same thing. Basically, in english-code, the function
would be as follows:
Set Session variable X to the ImageURL of the button that invoked me;
Forward the user to a specific URL;
That code is the easy part, of course. I just need to know how to tell
the ImageButtons to call that function when they're clicked. Preferably

Hi folks,
I appreciate any assistance in the following problem:
I have a form with a bunch of dynamic controls on it. All the controls
are dynamically generated on a server, including all the validators.
The user enters the data, presses OK. My OK button is dynamically
generated as well, with some code-behind logic in

I have some code comprising the onsubmit attrribute of a form. The code is
executing, but apparently a function called as the last statement is not
executed. The form content is submitted to the server. The behavior is the
same in Firefox and IE (current Windows versions). The following is
excerpted from the browser's "View source":
<script type="text/javascript">
function verify(f)

var msg;

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
