Ok, after three C# books, (C# How to Program, Programming in the Key
of C#, and C# Weekend Crash Course) and three weeks, I believe I have
tried everything to make a certain form function correctly. I am
trying to learn C# after playing around for a bit with procedural
programming with PHP, not OOP, and believe I have learned quite a bit
in three weeks, just not enough to accomplish this one task.
If anyone has a bit of free time and...

Hi!
I'm working with a C# client that calls a php web service. I've
created a wrapper to call the service using .NET wsdl tool (adding a
web reference).
The call to the server works fine, it is serialized correctly, and the
server returns a response (I've captured the response and it's
correct!) but when the .NET deserialize this response, it throws the
exception "System.InvalidOperationException: There is an error in XML

Howdy,
On past .NET projects, I only had System.Web.UI.Page forms. One
application needed a set of functions to do processing against the
Page, Session and Request objects associated with the current Form. I
handled this by making a new class (BasePage) which inherits from
System.Web.UI.Page. Each form would then inherit from BasePage rather
than System.Web.UI.Page.
I am now on a project that has both System.Web.UI.Page and

Hi.
I have an application that should download files from internet. The problem is the protocol is HTTPS. So I have a System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser which allows the user to log in to the HTTPS webpage with username and password.
The login is working since I can look at the files (XML-files) by navigating to them(see the XML in them), which should be possible if the user is not logged in.
So figure the WebBrowser object now have a...

Anyone know what would cause this error. It's not a typical error, it's text

I run Apache 2.0.55, and Php (both 4.4.1 and 5.2.5) on my home PC
(Windows XP). One of the scripts that I run daily needs to access a
secure URL (https://..............). When I am running Php4, it can
open the file.
However, when I run Php5 I (now) get this error message:
"Unable to find the wrapper "https" - did you forget to enable it when
you configured PHP?"
This is new. Last time I messed with this, I merely got:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
