Background image in GridView header

I want to display a background image in the header of my GridView but
when I do that by setting HeaderImageUrl= "..." the HeaderText isn't
visible.

It seems to me that either I can show the HeaderText and no background
image or vice versa.

Is there a solution?

Regards,

S

Try creating a css class like this

..gvHeaderRow
{
background-image:url(/path/to/image.jpg);
}

then for your gridview you can set
GridView1.Heade rRow.CssClass = "gvHeaderRo w"

just tested it out and seems to work fine.

I have a horizontal navigation bar, which is a single row table containing the right images. It "stretches" itself across the screen using a penultimate td like this: <td width="100%" background="images/nav_bar/nb_spacer.gif">&nbsp;</td> which works in all major browsers that I've tried, but doesn't validate. No background attribute to the td tag, apparently. What is the correct way to do this? A stylesheet entry with a

Hi there, I need to use a background image in a TR that does NOT restart everytime it hits a TD. Can it be done? Specifically, if you set a background image for an entier table, now mater how many TRs and TDs you have, it will show the complete/unfragmented image (as long as you don't over-ride it). When I set a TR background image, every time I hit a TD it "re-seeds" the image. I want to have a TR that shows an 800px image in it's

Who knows what should we include into aspx file to show some image as a background picture but only once at the top of the page? I don't want to add the Image control because even if it uses a transparent gif image I can't use LinkButtons over this image. The string that I'm using now is: <body background="BMP/Header.gif" MS_POSITIONING="GridLayout"> Maybe I should use something else in place of GridLayout?

Does anyone know why the header looks correct in IE 6.0 and not Firefox 1.07? I am trying to have a header that looks good when you expand it wider and smaller. In other words when you shrink the window narrower than the main header image it does not wrap, and when you expand the window wider than the main banner image the corner and background image expand to the size. It has one large image about 500 pix wide, a right corner that is...

If you add a background image to a link, the spinning Microsoft logo stops spinning in IE 6 after you click the link and move the mouse off it. Most people never notice this, but in applications where there is a slight delay before going to the next page, the logo stops spinning and the progress bar stops working if you mouse off the link. I am using the "sliding doors" technique to add rounded corners to tabs. I have been unable to...

I'm fairly new to CSS and I cannot for the life of me figure out why my background colors aren't showing up. I've tested it in both firefox and IE. Specifically I'm talking about the background color in #login and #header-bottom. You can also view my test area at http://www.siteiq.net/TEST/index.html (It's a work in progress...). Here's my CSS... @charset "iso-8859-1"; /* CSS Document */ body { margin: 0; padding: 0;

Hi! I am new to this forum, but not new to web design and programming. Nevertheless, I have never tried to use PNG so extensively in my pages. here's the problem. First, I have found that the PNG backgrounds and images had no transparency and grey around them when viewed in IE6, but I solved this bug using this hack. It works great, but then another problem came up: a background image that had the solution applied to was not repeating...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
