MagicAjax = Problems

Hello everyone,

I thought I would try the MagicAjax and I first recieved this message:

The MagicAjax HttpModule is not included in web.config. Add
[<httpModules><a dd name="MagicAjax " type="MagicAjax .MagicAjaxModul e,
MagicAjax" /></httpModules>] inside the <system.websect ion.

Okay seems simple enough, I added what it read like this:

<httpModules>
<add name="MagicAjax " type="MagicAjax .MagicAjaxModul e, MagicAjax"
/>
<add name="ScriptMod ule"
type="Microsoft .Web.Services.S criptModule"/>
</httpModules>

Now I get:

Could not load file or assembly 'MagicAjax' or one of its dependencies.
The system cannot find the file specified.
(C:\Inetpub\www root\Headquarte rs\web.config line 70)

Line 70 is the <add name="MagicAjax " . . . line.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Peter Bromberg [C# MVP]

As I recall, the MagicAjax download includes at least one working web app and
demo page. Use the web.config from that and make sure the MagicAjax assembly
is in your /bin folder.

Thanks Peter,

I actually got the same results when testing the demo. I tried putting
the dll in the gac and rebuilding the demo after re-referencing the dll
.. . . I'm not quite sure what I am doing wrong.
