Dragging Control to Content Page

Hi, I've created a Master Page and there is another page "A.aspx" which
links to this Master Page. But why I can't drag n drop the Control from the
Toolbox to the "ContentPlaceHo lder" in "A.aspx". As I know, the Master Page
is as a template of other pages, that means, we can use this template to
create several pages with different details. Thus, it should be allowed to
me for putting different items in the A.aspx. Thanks in millions.

You could do that from the master page, can't you?

The designer does not let you do this because probably you don't have a
Content control in your A.aspx.
At design time you can automaticaly add it with the context menu that
appears when you click on the contentPlaceHol der in A.aspx.
Ever you insert an asp:Content control in a page linked to a master, the
master content will be replaced with the content of this content control.
So, if you don't insert a content control, the master content will be taken.

Hope this will help you

In an ASCX, I have a Literal control into which I inject a at runtime. litInjectedContent.Text = dataClass.GetHTMLSnippetFromDB(someID); This works great as long as the contains just client-side HTML, CSS, etc. What I want to do is somehow insert a *server control* into the , then set the server control's properties at runtime.

Update will throw an exception if the data is not validate based on some given rules. I also have a custom error handling page to show the...

I use VS2005 to build a asp.net 2.0 project. I want to be able to click a button on the page and have a dialog window appear where I can navigate the folders to get hold of a file path to load data from the file to a SQL Server database. I imported System.Data.Forms which gives me access to the FolderBrowseDialog control. The first problem is that the toolbar did not show FolderBrowserDialog server control, so I cannot drag it to my form....

I am working on developing a generic Web framework using Master Pages in ASP.NET 2.0. What I have done is created a PageRenderer class which has a public method which will retrieve the path of the content I want to execute based on the name of the asp:Content control. As shown in the code snippet below, to get the content I want to display, I call the GetContentPagePath public method in PageRenderer passing a string duplicating the value...

I am trying to create a project using the ASP.NET AJAX accordion control. I would like to dynamically add panes to the control with a form template added when the pane is added. I have tried unsuccessfully in creating the whole pane as a user control and have succeeded in adding the pane and then dynamically adding the content which is a user control to the pane, dynamically within the page. However I would like to have a single pane...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
