Hi
I am trying to use Windbg with SOS.dll on VS 2003 by following the article "SOS:It's Not Just an ABBA Song Anymore" at http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/03/06/Bugslaye
I tried the ".load sos" and the command extension of SOS comes up when typing "!help". I assumed that SOS was loaded; however when issuing the command "!Threads". I got the following response
"No valid SOS data table found"
How can I solve this problem.

I have a heap problem in my com exe server.
When i use windbg as the compiler in application verifier is windbg started
and i can press 'g' and the server is running unitil i get the exception.
When i'm using VC.net i get an excpetion in the client which starts the
server! I have not added the client to appl verifier, so how come that VC is
launched with the client.exe?
And is it possible to load symbols after VC has started, i.e. like...

Hi all,
We are trying to debug an assembly which was built in debug configuration on
our build server. The output window of visual studio indicates that no
symbols are being loaded for the assembly.
However, when the PDB file is copied alongside the dll, the symbols load ok.
We were a little confused, because we had already been debugging this
assembly WITHOUT copying the pdb file.

I added ajax to an existing web project. It runs fine but hitting F5
(debug) in Visual Studio 2005 slowly consumes resources: Kernel Memory and
System Cache grow and I start seeing
"Loading symbols for
C:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Web.Extensions\1.0.61025.0___\System.Web.Extensions.dll"
in the VS2005 footer. After several hours of coding and debugging it can

I am using VS.NET 2003 and have multiple projects in my solution and an asp.net web app which is the startup project. I have inherited this project from someone else and am trying to upgrade the project but that problem is for another day :)

Hello,
We have asp.net application: .net / 200 000 loc and about 200 000 loc
in orbital projects (referenced to website as projects (not as
dlls)).
Compiling application time is "normal". Full recompile lasts about 40
minutes but when we make changes in particular projects or website
it's not so painfull.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
