Open Popup Window via VB Code

I have an asp:Button on my page. The buttons OnClick event runs some code. I
would like to have it also open a popup window.
Is this possible and how do I go about doing this?

Thanks,
Lou

a "Popup Window" is done client side with script, via window.open method.
There are dozens of javascript and HTML DOM references online where you can
find sample code. Would not, however, recommend you do this with VBScript -
use javascript instead.

You can attach a javascript function to your button

button.attribut es.add("onclick ", "window.open(.. .)")

Hello, I have a nice system where someone clicks on a picture to show the full version. This pops up in a window.open box. It works great, the only problem is that if the user clicks a second picture before closing the first then the new picture loads into the original popup box which is often a different size. How can i make them open in their own popup windows? Thanks

Below are two files: Main.asp and Help.asp. I've stripped it down to the 'barest-of bones' so that anyone willing to help can duplicate the problem on their own systems. ***Main.asp*** looks like so: <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>Main</TITLE>

I have a news video that I am sending out for a client. There are embedded links to flash movies in the email. I want the popup to be a set size (400 x 400). I am currently using the following code, but the popup window is not 400 x 400, it is whatever the browser size was last time it was opened. How can I set the absolute size from within this email? Thanks.

To grossly oversimplify my webapp: I am using PHP to communicate with IMAP, outputting relevant information as JavaScript. The information is aggregated in an extremely heavily-scripted status display. This display is PHP include()d in a larger document, with a link to open it in a new window. When opened in a new window, the popup communicates with the original (now hidden) include()d version, provided that the original window is

Hi everybody, I would not consider myself an expert in javascript - but so far whatever I know, helped me reaching my goals. Recently I started to experience a lot of javascript errors related to opening up a popup window in an application I wrote. The error messages are quite diverse: "Object doesn't support this property or method" or "Unspecified error." or "The callee (server ) is not available and disappeared; all connections are...

I'm using window.open method in my script to open poup window. Recently Internet Explorer users reported that the script crashes on their machine with different runtime errors. See the bug: <http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;888021> The statement like myPopup = window.open(args); gives you runtime error and halts the script execution *if a 3rd party

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
