Embedding "customcont rol" inside "webusercontrol "

Hi,

I am trying to use a "customcont rol" inside a "webusercontrol " but
facing problem with the viewstate of the "customcontrol" .

When I use the "customcont rol" on a page either adding it statically or
dynamically, it works fine. There is no problem with the ViewState.
Also when I use this "customcont rol" inside another "customcont rol"
there is no problem with the ViewState.

Problem arises only when I embed this "customcont rol" inside a
"webusercontrol ". While debugging I found that the
"createcustomco ntrols" function is not being called on postback in this
scenario. In all others scenarios this function is called.

Am I doing something wrong here or is it not possible to use custom
control in that way?

Any pointers or suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
Angrez

I accidentally sent this to webmaster@python.org, so this could be a duplicate if "webmaster" forwards it to this list. :{ Hi, there. Thanks for any help that can be offered. I've been working with Python for a year or more now, but only doing simple extending in C/C++. I'm now attempting some embedding and several questions have come to mind. BTW - I'm running Windows 2000 with Python23 and VisualC++ developers

Hello, I am trying to embed a Tkinter widget (TkZinc, http://www.tkzinc.org) inside a PyGtk HMI. A guru gave me this advice: "I think you can do some magic using the XID of the Tkinter widget's window to produce a GdkWindow" I wrote this little program, which gets the XID of the Tkinter window and uses it to create a gtk.gdk.Window.

I have an XML string in a database that I would like to display using XSLT. All of that works like a champ, but I can't figure out how to embed the XML inside an ASPX page. For example, I have an ASPX page with a Header User Control and a Footer User Control. I'd like to put the transformed XML right in the middle. It seems like this is something that should be doable, but I can't quite figure it out. Is anyone out there doing this,...

Hi there, Can anyone tell me how I can embed a managed UserControl inside an MFC application? I don't particularly want to put a COM-callable wrapper around my .NET component if I can help it. I can easily convert the MFC app to use managed extensions though. I've had success with opening a managed dialog from an MFC application (very easy); what I'm having trouble with is embedding something derived from (eg)...

Hello folks, I was wondering if there any other method of achieving the following: I have a XSL transformation outputting a SVG document. For reasons too long to explain here, I must embed a CSS style sheet inside a <style> element in the SVG output document using a CDATA block. The CSS stylesheet is not an xml document, therefore I cannot open it using the document function (I suppose, I didn't even try frankly). In order to work...

Hi all. I want to embed the EMBED tag in the object tag. I understood that I need to provide a PARAM tag inside the OBJECT whose value will hold the content of EMBED src attribute, but after that I've got confused. For example, what should be put into classid and codebase attributes of the OBJECT now embedding the EMBED tag?

Hi all, I'd like to use html/xml/xsl for rendering views in a windows form client. I assume I should embed IE inside a windows form in order to show the form inside a MDI form. I should also capture events from the IE at the windows form level. Can you point me to any hints, sample code? Thanks in advance Sammy

Hello, first of all, I am a programming newbie, especially in python... Onwards to the problem, I have been having difficulty embedding a python module into my C/C++ program. (just a test program before moving on into the real thing). I have been making test runs using the codes from http://docs.python.org/ext/pure-embedding.html as a basic, but modifiying it now as a function inside my C/C++ code.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
