Allowing 2 different Login.aspx pages

Hi,

currently I have this in my web.config file

<authenticati on mode="Forms">
<forms name="Auth" loginUrl="login .aspx" protection="Non e" path="/"
timeout="60"/>
</authentication>

<authorizatio n >
<deny users="?"/>
</authorization>

this is/was working fine, but I would like the abilty for users to
login using one of 2 login pages.
login.aspx and say login2.aspx

is this possible?

thanks,
Paul

I have a site where I have only one page and lots of user controls. Rather than passing parameters into the page (mysite/default.aspx?MenuID=123), I pass in a url like this (mysite/products-greenwidgets.aspx). then in the global.asax I intercept the url coming in and convert it to a parameter url like this (mysite/default.aspx?MenuID=greenwidgets). then when the default.aspx page loads, it passes "greenwidgets" to the database and gets a...

Hi, I'm creating a few pages on my site that you need to login to view. The login pages and the secure pages are .aspx . If I want links at the top of all pages on the site that says either "Login" or "Welcome Bob. Click here to logout", do I have to make all of my pages .aspx or is there a way to keep the unsecure pages HTML and somehow put this dynamic message at the top? Any help is much appreciated.

Hi. We have an asp.net intranet application written in VB that uses forms authentication for all it's pages. I have a C# asp.net application that I just wrote. The company would like the C# application to authenticate using the same mechanism as the intranet app. Therefore...if I try to login to the c# app, it should redirect me to the intranet login. Once I pass authentication, I should be able to access the c# app. Now. Here is...

I have what I'd *like* to be a single web application (meaning, shares the same Session object for a given user, etc.). But I'd like to configure it for FormsAuthentication so that if the user goes into most of the directories before he's authenticated, he'll go to one Login.aspx whereas if he goes for the first time to, say, "/Admin/*", he gets a different Login.aspx page. Both pages will end up authenticating the user the same way, but...

The majority of pages on our site need authentication (forms auth against the aspnetdb database). I created an '~/auth' folder with its own config file forcing authentication for any pages in the folder. The default.aspx sits in the root folder and just does a Response.Redirect to an ~/auth/home.aspx page. The config forces authentication, which is carried out by ~/pub/login.aspx which has a standard asp:login control. I set up the...

The following code (web.config in Visual Studio 2005) is supposed to redirect a user to the appropriate Form depending on their role. However, regardless of the user's role, the only page displayed is the login page with the URL of the page the user was supposed to go to being displayed in the address bar. A valid user is: name "sandy" password = san_mcd role = Administrator ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
